USA Basketball Pool Features 14 New Names

Thursday USA Basketball named its 28 player pool for the next 3 Summers..
The pool was chosen by USAA Basketball Chairman Jerry Colangelo and coach Mike Krzyzewski ,is headlined by stars Lebron James,Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony -none are expected to compete in the 2014 WORLD CUP of Basketball in Spain …
It includes alot of the games rising stars like Portland’s duo of LaMarcus Aldridge & Damian Lilliard,Sacramento’s mercurial big man DeMarcus Cousins,Detroit center Andre Drummond,Indiana’s Paul George and Cleveland’s Kyrie Irving.It also keeps injured stars like Chicago’s Derrick Rose and OKC’s Russell Westbrook in the fold…
The only member of the 2012 team that won’t continue in the program is the Lakers Kobe Bryant..Earlier this week Bryant announced that the London Games was his International swansong..Miami duo Dwanye Wade and Chris Bosh who both are headed for free agency this summer,are not expected to be part of the National Pool…..
TEAM USA will get the summer of 2015 off if they win the World Cup in Spain this summer..

what do john wall gotta do before he finally gets any recognition? Just become a scorer like Kyrie and say F being a point guard?

I’m a John Wall fan but completely understand why he was snubbed. It’s international ball where 1-4 you have to be able to shoot. Wall is a career 42% shooter from the field and 27% from three. In his four year career he’s only made 93 3-pointers. Again, I’m a Wall fan, but it’s not the NBA which is why it makes sense Korver is on there but no one is saying Korver is a better player than Wall. Similar reason why Rondo was left off a few years back.

Parsons should have made it. He would’ve been a better fit in the international game over Hayward and korver.

  Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t Parsons and Nick Calathes both have parents or relatives from Greece. Which makes me believe they could suit up for the Greeks in the 2016 Olympics.
