goldie92689ParticipantDwight Howard has announced he wants to rejoin USA Sr Mens Nat Team for the 2014 World Cup. I would assume he is an easy choice to reclaim his starting C position. If that is the case and in light of injuries who do you see making this 12 man roster as of today.
Guards:
Westbrook, Harden, Curry, Irving
Forwards:
Durant, George, Gay, Iguadala
Centers:
Howard, Love, Davis
Im pretty confident about the first 11..for the 12th im gonna throw a dart and go with:
Lilliard
After all said and done only 3 newbies.

Chilbert arenasParticipantIs it just understood that Lebron and Melo will be done with USA basketball then?
My sleeper would be Kawhi Leonard instead of Gay. By this point I think Leonard will be a sharp shooter and can guard 4 positions in international ball.

goldie92689ParticipantIts not that they are done, it’s that they have played a lot of games both National and NBA. Especially Lebron playing into June with the Heat. Better chance of Melo playing although i think at this point melo may have played the most games of all time on National team. He and Lebron I believe.

ElPananderoParticipantI think has come out and said he doesn’t want to play in this year’s world cup already, it’s just too much for him and he wants some rest, espicially since he should be making a playoff run into the summer. I think thats what he said anyway.

goldie92689ParticipantKawhi is a great call. Especially with so much offense from the guard spots.

phila9012ParticipantI think if they could get Carmelo, Chris Paul, or LeBron for the last spot that would be great. Nobody is a definite no, so there is hope. I don’t think all of them will be there, but it would be great if coach K got one of them to go.

franfranParticipantI see
Guard – Russell Westbrook, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Kyrie Irving, Damian Lillard, Lance Stephenson
Forwards – Kevin Durant, Paul George
Centers – Dwight Howard, Kevin Love, Anthony Davis, Blake Griffin

goldie92689ParticipantIt would be a great leap for Lance to make this team without prior experience. Yes Harden and Davis did it, but it was in a year where a lot of injuries sidelined many of the hopefuls.

DipoTimeParticipantI like the list, and I somewhat agree with Stephenson, but it is gunna be some tough competition for him with Kawhi, DeRozan, Klay Thompson, and Gordon Hayward. I rly look forward to seeing these young guys compete to make this team!

RUDEBOY_ParticipantIsn’t it kind of Strange that the day after Kobe announces he’s done with International Competition Dwight says he wants to play? lol

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantNo, it’s not strange at all because the list of 24 candidates comes out tomorrow. Meaning, right now is the perfect time for everyone to talk about it.

WetalkinboutpracticeParticipantHe’s referring to the World Championships, as opposed to the Olympics, which the big time stars with more miles (ie ‘Bron, Melo, Kobe, Paul, Williams) tend to sit it out.
