    • Michael Porter Jr. remains to be the “mystery man” all the way until pre-draft workouts. I’m not saying he should drop out of the top-5, but by him not being in action all season, it really shakes up the board tremendously.
    • Trae Young falls victim to not being a 6’3” 200 lbs. point guard with elite athleticism, so he doesn’t have a shot at being considered #1 to Orlando.
    •  Wendell Carter Jr. should be ahead of Jaren Jackson Jr. who has made a big leap out of nowhere, over the likes of Mohamed Bamba.
    • Mohamed Bamba is slowly phasing himself out of being talked about as the 3rd best big man on the board.
    • Collin Sexton is in a position to where he’s going to be selected as BPA over need, which is going to create a logjam or potential trade in someone else.
    • Hamidou Diallo has snuck back into the lottery through making minor improvements to his offensive game, but the looming question is how long can he keep this placement?
    • No Miles Bridges?!

Trae Young in Phoenix would be the perfect fit… Almost GSW 2.0 paired with Booker and Jackson.

Didn’t mention that because it was obvious fit.

That team would be a complete nightmare in transition, Suns have to land Trae Young hes the missing piece to the rebuild.

As a Suns fan, I’d love Trae. Him and Booker would be an amazingly high potential back court.

The defence would be severly hampered.

What has Hami Diallo done to move back into lotto talks?

If there’s a SG who should be rising it’s Lonnie Walker.  He finally looks healthy and assertive after his knee surgery.  He’s easily the SG with the highest ceiling in this draft.  Beautiful balanced shot, physically strong off the bounce shedding defenders with ease, excellent body control with a 6’10 wingspan.  If he keeps up his conference play he should be top 10. I’d take him over any of the Kentucky boys and Miles Bridges.

Lonnie over Diallo all day. If Lonnie was at Kentucky he would already be a top 10 lock…UK lacks guard play…Miami has almost too many guards…but we are finally starting to see Lonnie is clearly their best player.

Believe it or not, but it’s actually a good thing that he’s been undervalued at the moment. It gives everyone a chance to see who is riding the train up until ACC tournament play heading into March Madness.

In my mock, I do have Porter slipping a bit because he’s not playing this season due to injury but not out of the top 5 because of his obvious talent.

I have the Magic selecting a SF because of team need and best player available. They don’t need a Center because of Vucevic. He’s not out for the season (should be back in March), but he can work for their team unless they decide to go a different direction, which they might. They need a #1 option someone to build the team around but still the makeup of the team right now. That takes Ayton out of the picture because of Vucevic. Also Bagely is out because of Gordon operating best at the 4. Trae is out because of Payton. True, any of these could change depending on what the Magic decide to do with Gordon and Payton in free agency since both are restricted free agents at the end of the seasonm but I think they will keep both of them because both have done well so far this season. So right now I have them picking Doncic, because other than Porter he’s the only one that would fit the current makeup of the team and would still be someone to build around. But this could change to Porter because of draft workouts.

Ayton is at 2 for obvious reason due to the Dwight Howard trade to Charlotte

Porter is at 3 but he could flip flop with Doncic after draft workouts

Mavs select Bagley to replace Nowitski. I think this is his last year in the NBA because he goes to the Hall of Fame

Suns go with Trae for obvious reasons. Perfect fit thank to the Warriors example. If this happens watch out for them next year. They won’t be in the lottery for much longer, this might be their last year if they select Trae and keep Len

Grizzlies in a number of different directions but I have them selecting Jaren Jackson Jr. because I think he will rise in March Madness and in draft workouts. Also he fits the team, if they keep Gasol and Conley, which I think they will because they are the building blocks. However if I wrng they could also select Wendell Carter.

Bamba falls to 8th. I think he might be the best fit for the Bulls. Lopez will want to leave soon because he’s a veteran and will want to soon seek a title so they will need a rim protecting Center alongside Markannen.

Sexton I have going 9th, mostly because of best available but also not fit wise for the Sixers.

I have Miles Bridges rising due to March Madness and draft workouts. His ability to play 2-way ball and his versatitlity will attract a lot of teams.

I’m not quite sure about Shai Alexander and don’t know if he’ll make the lottery. Too many teams that don’t need a PG anymore due to the excess of point guards selcted in 2017. I think he’d be best going to the Pelicans with Rondo being the oldest of the starters and they are in the playoffs and I do think they will stay in the playoffs even with Cousins being out for the rest of the season.

Musa and Vanderbilt both make lottery due to draft workouts. Musa’s ability to score from the 3 position is what the Clippers need from their horrible injury history especially Gallo’s. Lou Williams’ recent play is the only thing keeping them in sight of the playoffs, and giving them reason for hope. He may have even snatched the starting SG spot from Beverley by now. And he should play point more often and even next year too without any injuries. But I believe Gallo’s injury and their inability to play Defense will keep them out of the playoffs.

Porter’s stock will become much clearer when he starts doing drills on court again.

How is Bamba playing himself out of the top 3 bigman conversation? He has been an elite rim protector and double-double machine all year, but is now performing really well on offense too, hitting his free throws and threes at a much higher rate.

If anything, I’d say he’s playing himself right back into the top 4-5.

Cleveland could well take a PG or a big as the maths with keeping IT if LBJ stays don’t stack up. I think they would look at NBA readiness. Bamba would be in a good situation there with a lot of winners around him and the likes of Big Z around to mentor him. But might he be a few years away from contributing?

Sexton, Young even Doncic could be options if they want a point guy. All there games are different – two give explosiveness from the bench, the other could be an intangibles guy who can play a number of positions.

Carter might be their choice of a big, fairly NBA ready, high character guy, used to winning.

I don’t see how Mohamed Bamba is playing him out of contention for a 3 big in this draft. I think firmly cemented directly behind Ayton and Marvin.

He’s really stepped up his game in conference play and during the Big 12 season he’s averaging 14.9 ppg 11.9 rpg 1.2 spg and 4.5 bpg on 58% shooting from the field. While his jumper is a work in progress, he’s showing flashes that it might be as far away as many people thought. During 8 Big 12 games, he’s hit .35% of his 3 pointers (although it be on limited attempts 6-17). I’ve seen him a handful of times, and the dude just does stuff you can’t teach.

His combination of mobility and length is freaky, and he’s only going to get stronger and add more bulk. A 9’6” standing reach and a 7’9” wingspan are both elite measurements, and he’s finally starting to put it together to really be a disruptive force at the NCAA level. My March he’ll be flat out dominant, and ready to take a jump to the next level.

I would like to see Trae Young to Memphis, Michael Porter Jr. to Cleveland, and Luka Doncic to Dallas.
