mj23bullsParticipantin my opinion, i think xavier henry would have been a better pick than udoh. i feel like people are too enamored with monta ellis. when i look at him, all i see is a taller version of iverson. they’ll never win a championship with monta in town, and i think henry and curry would be a better back court.
i know there are a lot better options than henry, but i just think it would have been logical to either draft henry or monroe over udoh. henry and curry would give the warriors the top shooting back court in the nba.

mj23bullsParticipantand tim49461, with the exception of jr smith, brooks and k mart, all of those guys are on the back end of their careers.

mgreener_34ParticipantI’m glad when I see teams like the Warriors and Raptors take guys like this, because it shows that they are at least trying to play a little defense. I think Udoh fits well with the Warriots, and if that team ever comes together watch out! They would have scary length. Plus why would they take Henry? They already have a bunch of shooters
” all i see is a taller version of iverson.”
If that were the case he would be one of the best players ever.

mj23bullsParticipantdude iverson has never won a championship, and he shoots 42% for his career. there’s a reason why the nuggets got so much better when they traded him for a real point guard like billups. he always needs the ball to have any productivity, and monta is the same way. and what bugs me most about the udoh pick is that they’ve taken forwards and big men year after year, o’bryant, wright, randolph. all of them are too skinny or too raw, just like udoh. i just think henry would have been a better pick than udoh, yeah they have morrow, but do you really think morrow is better gonna be better than henry?

Tony Douglass ,Wilson Chandler and Curry (10 mill expiring) for Monte and Turiaf

severinParticipantudoh is not as raw offensively as wright so I think he is more nba ready. he will log some good minutes right from the get go at the 4 and 5. I think with curry as their point, the warriors are not done making deals. I think they need to move ellis because even with udoh the warriors should not depend on the help. and ellis is not one of the league’s better defenders. This team needs size and defense on the perimeter. Anthony Morrow is a deft shooter and can be a good compliment to curry and reggie williams was a pleasant surprise. I think those 2 guys are keepers and moving monta ellis will help there developement. the problem for the warriors is they are in a difficult position to make trades because monta and biedrins may be overpaid and are in the books until 2013-2014.

TRC1991Participantin case you didnt notice, the warriors need interior players, they already have a great shooting guard (anthony morrow) who they could develop if they traded monta…

delfamParticipantI think if they were to trade Monta the team taking him on would most likely ask for Morrow.

PlatypusParticipantif the knicks do it, they dont have a center or a good starting point guard and this fills both needs plus they are gonna sign Joe Johnson
Knicks become
Ellis – cheap free agent
Johnson – Bill Walker / Rautins
Gallianri – Fields / Wallker
Lee (or another big time powerforward) – cheap free agent
Turiaf (they have no center at all) – Earl Barron0 - Posted on: Mon, 06/28/2010 - 8:18am #343195
JoeWolf1I don’t think Udoh is going to be a bad NBA player or a bust as far as his career length and production, but i certainly think they passed over a handful of better players. I think Udoh will be one of those guys with a solid career, but never an All-Star. I think he is NBA ready enough to have a decent rookie season and I think he’ll probably put up around 9 pts 6 rbs 2 assists and 1.5 blocks as a rookie.
