Future_Scouti think both boatright and napier are underrated but at the same time pg guard play in uconn is terrible. i don’t understand. i’d say they don’t make sence in the bachcourt???, they cant really spot up, are mistake-prone, and they’re not big

NiceWithTheRockParticipantIf uconn wins it would be like last year. they didn’t do great during the regular season, but kemba went off in conf play and tourney. i think Lamb will step up for them this year

tbp82ParticipantOther than being a fan of a particular school why would anyone want a team that had a medicore regular season to win a conferance title and get a automatic bid and take a spot in the tourney from a team that deserves to be there. I’ve never understood that.

JNixonParticipantI feel that Syracuse could be out by the Sweet 16 this year, even tho they have the overall talent to be a Final 4 team

orangeshadow83ParticipantI know Lamb & Drummond are bertter prospects but Waiters is looking like the best player on the floor in this game. He is getting in the lane at will, disrupting the passing lanes, and also showing a nice shot. I think he is the best prospect on Cuse and should be a real steal of the draft if he comes out.

SpacegrassParticipantIn his 35 years as a HC Boeheim has only been to the elite 8 4 times , now he has also has 3 FF out of those 4 elite eights but he also got 3 of those elite eights or farther because of Carmelo and the DC , Seikaly teams. I don’t see this Cuse team with a dominant player that has helped Boeheim get far in tourney like he has in those other instances. They may make the elite 8 but , I don’t see them getting farther than that. Just thought it was crazy that a guy considered an elite coach that has been at a top 10 program for 35 years has only mustered 4 elite 8 appearances in that timeframe , doesn’t sound elite to me , sounds like a second tier coach.

cuseflynn10ParticipantWhile you may think Cuse will be out by the Sweet 16, it is hard to believe. They are 31-1 in the Big East. If we’re taking conference and record into consideration, I think Syracuse has been the most succesful team as of 3/8/12. Sure it’s possible that anything could happen, but I don’t think your giving Cuse enough credit. People think they lack offense because their leading scorer has 14 ppg, but they average 75 points per game. People say their rebounding isn’t up to par, but your not going to get as many rebounds when you consistently force double digit turnovers each game.
It is entirely possible that they could lose in or prior to the Sweet 16, but if you’re going to doubt Syracuse’s abilities, why not doubt every other teams’ while your at it. You don’t get to 31-1 by luck. Their 1 loss came when Melo was out, and could have had an undefeated run had he been playing.

Ghost01Participant– Syracuse always underachieves in the tourney
– This team has no star
– They played a pretty weak schedule, didn’t play a top 10 team all year.
– They won alot of close games against mediocre big east teams
Sounds like an early round disappointing exit if I’ve ever seen one written on the wall.

JonOatsParticipantWill move into 2nd for all time wins mid way through next season. 4th most wins the last 10 years and tied for 7th most wins the last 5 years. Coach K better not retire first.

This is not your granddads Big East man. Syracuse has struggled against teams with good PGs all this year, and I think it will catch up with them in the tourny. They dont give me the feel of a Final 4 team, even though they have the pieces. It will depend on who the face, but they reall struggle against alot of teams they should handle easily.
