Ive been messing around with espns trade machine..

Utah gets rid of the log jam at the 4 enabling favors to grow into his high expectations. The Jazz also get their Utah folk hero in jimmer and a solid player in tyreke

Jazz lineup: mo, tyreke, hayward, favors, al jefferson. 6th man-jimmer/marvin

Kings…well kings kinda get fucked but they get rid of jimmer and tyreke so how bad of a deal can it be

Lakers get younger with alec burk and isaiah thomas (who would be really fun to watch in d’antoni’s system. Then they also get Paul Milsap who will bring toughness and his big boy pants every night,

Lets face it. Pau’s going to get traded he just doesnt fit in dantoni’s system…

Why the hell would Sacramento give up Evans, Thomas, and Fredette just for an aging big with knee problems who’s only going to get more disgruntled when he’s going to be on a losing team? This trade is absolutely terrible for Sac-Town.

A better fit for LA would be Ryan Anderson, although I’m sure LA would want a little more for Pau.

I agree but LA needs to get something for pau.

Maybe trade for an average stretch big but then they need to get younger at the point. Steve Nash is the man yes but he’s 40 yrs old with 3 horrible back ups.

I know LA needs value for Pau, but that doesn’t mean other teams are going to screw themselves over because of it.

Obviously that would be a damn good team, but why the hell would Minnesota trade it’s 23 year old franchise player for a 32 year old big with knee problems?

well, if we can just throw out, any idea out there, bad or not, then heres one.
    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=a28mth5

its between the bobcats and the lakers where gasol paired with steve blake will be sent to charlote in exchange for Ben Gordon, BJ Mullens and Tyrus Thomas. not the most popular pool of players out there that laker fans would want, but im not really sure how many teams out there are willing to give the lakers the players they want with Gasol’s contract and statistically declining seasons. Tyrus is the tough bullet to bite with his nasty contract, while Gordon and Mullens are a better fit to D’Antoni’s system.

    How does this look?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=b8yo7fr

    Lakers get
    Josh Smith
    Luke Ridnour
    Malcom Lee

    Minny gets
    Pau Gasol

    Atlanta gets
    Derrick Williams
    JJ Barea
Draft picks from LA and Minny (most likely protected from Minny and whatever picks the Lakers have available).

Josh Smith is not resigning with Atlanta. They may as well get a couple of assets in return. Williams has potential and he’s obviously not on the same level as smith but he does have upside and picks are always a nice asset to have. The Hawks are also looking to cut salary big time and this helps.

I don’t think Minny getting Pau makes a ton of sense but they are not giving up a whole lot to get him. Derrick Williams is not playing anyway and Pau can certainly help that team win now. Plus he’s a white guy.

Lakers get Smith who is more athletic and younger than Gasol. They can potentially resign him based on his production after he joined the team.

The rest of the players are throw ins to make the trade work.

Royce White has ZERO trade value until he gets his issues sorted.
