Kevin Love, 20th pick and Jonny Flynn and if more needed (Wes Johnson or Webster) to Thunder for Serge Ibaka, James Harden and 24th Pick.

    Thunder go next year with

Westbrook, Thefalosa, Durant, Love and Perkins

    Bench:

Collison, Flynn, Cook, Mohammed and Aldrich, 20th pick.

Twolves go next year with–I know it is tough to see Love go because he is the teams best player since KG, but I don’t think he is a Franchise player. This move allows us to select Derrick Williams with our top pick.

Next Year wolves go with some form of:

    Rubio, Harden, Beasley, Williams, Ibaka

    Bench:

Wes Johnson, Anthony Randolph, Ridnour, Darko, Martell Webster and Nikola Peckovic and #24 pick.

The only reason I mention this is because at the All-Star game Durant, Westbrook and Love talked about how it would be fun to pair up. While the wolves trade their best player, I think they become a more well-balanced team and Harden would have a chance to be a top scorer. There are also concerns that Love may not resign with the Twolves in the future.

Why would OKC do this when Ibaka is a better prospect than Love.  Love can rebound and shoot 3’s.  Ibaka is longer more athletic possibly taller.  He can rebound decent, and block shots.  He does not always need the ball.  he also could improve his jump shot  and help open up the floor more.  I think Ibaka is only 21.

this doesn’t really benefit the Thunder or the Wolves IMO. Ibake and Perkins are the perfect combo on defense. Perkins can get boards and defend anyone (even Dwight) straight up and Ibaka can come over with his freakish ability and get weakside blocks. The Thunder preach defense to win games and while Love is great, they take a step back defensively. The only spot the Thunder need to improve is the 2, which a player like Marcus Thorton would have done wonders. And if Flynn was on the Thunder and even if Nate wasnt there, he would have a hard time finding any minutes with Russell Westbrook playing 35-40 minutes a night. I like Nate/Maynor as a backup to Westbrook because they don’t need much time to be effective.

It is not a bad tade but the wolves would not make that trade unless they know 1. Love is going to go elsewhere via free agency. 2. They know they are getting their guy in the draft, whether it is williams or someone else. Meanwhile, it may put the Thunder to another level, above the Heat in my opinion, but it goes against the way of Presti, and it would imply they gave up on Harden so soon, but i just dont see the t wolves bitting at that, but a good idea. (But with Kahn, you never know)

I think both teams get worse with this trade.

When Love becomes a free agent, he will be restricted.  The Wolves don’t have to have any worry about him leaving.

Wolves aren’t trading love, okc isn’t trading ibaka. Same thing with deandre Jordan in la. These guys are all young franchise building blocks that aren’t going anywhere.

T wolves need a legit center who plays d and can score in the post. Ibaka is better suited at the 4 and flynn’s value is so low right now the thunder wouldnt even think about trading james harden who is their best bench player for a dude who would play behind westbrook AND maynor. Twolves should just look for a wing- williams, barnes.

     Horrible Trade..
OKC has one of the best defensive starting lineups and Love wouldn’t be able to shine behind Westbrook and Durant like he is now.

Ibaka is perfect for the Thunder to help D up SF’s who get past Durant.

It is nice in theory, but in practice the Nuggets were parading to the hoop last night and that front court help defense was complete garbage.
