If the Clippers get the #3 (not griffin/rubio) then i think they should look into a kaman and the #3 for Tayshaun Prince and the #15. The Pistons need a big and when Kaman is healthy he is a legit big. Also, both players get to go home. What do u think?

Giving up Kaman AND the #3 in my opinion is way too much to give up in that trade. Besides, the Clippers already have the 3 spot locked up with Al Thornton, unless you want to bring him off the bench for Tayshaun. The trade the way it is makes the deal one-sided in favor of Detroit. They get a great center (when healthy) and a top 3 pick.

The player they really need to dump is Baron Davis, so if they’re gonna trade Kaman, they should try to package the two of them together for an elite PG. I would suggest maybe trading Davis and Kaman to the Spurs for Tony Parker, Kurt Thomas, and Bruce Bowen. The Spurs need a shake-up, and they would certainly a guy like a guy like Kaman in a frontcourt tandem with Duncan. The Clippers get an underrated PG with championship experience, a good perimteter defender, and C depth behind Camby.

The Clippers really put themselves in a tough spot by adding Baron Davis and Zach Randolph last year, and would likely have to include the 3rd pick for another team just to take one of them. The last thing LA should do is trade a draft pick and one of their “trade-able” players for an equally, but more likely higher paid veteran, that will not get them any closer to making the playoffs. The Clippers need to consolidate young talent while shedding salary when possible. They should start by offering Camby and Kaman for expiring contracts and future draft picks. This would also free up room to take Thabeet at 3.

no way the spurs trade parker. he’s the new face of the franchise. i think that if the spurs re-tool this offseason, the most they can offer is manu.

i don’t know what’s wrong with the clips. that roster is really talented. maybe they should get rid of the coach? they have a lot of talented bigs, they have a solid sf in thornton, a scoring machine in eric gordon, and an aging superstar in bd. that team should be able to compete on paper. i think that if the clips get the 3rd pick, they should get thabeet and trade kaman. kaman hasn’t been healthy for the last two seasons. thabeet would do well learning under camby. a future frontcourt of thabeet and deandre is going to be scary. trade kaman to the bobcats for felton (via sign-and-trade), a throw-in and a future-1st round pick (if not this year’s).

No they need to trade Kaman for Marcus camby he still has about three good years left. He can rebound and a monster at blocking shots. Another possible trade for Kaman would be Ron Artest I Think that would work out great. Houston does have a starting Center but Kaman could come off the bench where I think he would be most dominating at. Kaman against second string guys he could destroy them. And probably put up 17 to 19 points a game. And 10 to 12 rebounds a game. And I think Al Thornton could use some experience yet. And Ron Artest could be the perfect person for that a Veteran in the NBA can score and play D. Also he could give Thornton a little toughness.

I think ulimately for the player they have Dunleavy in not the right coach. I also believe that if they do not change the coach, they should Trade BD and Kaman. They can trade Kaman which will open up minutes for Jordon and also trading BD will give them minutes to give to their new point. Philadelphia may need Kaman after they trade Dalembert. Kaman and Brand can work well together.

i didn’t get the “original post”. pistonsman, camby’s already in the clippers roster so i don’t think they need to trade for him anymore.

like i’ve said in my earlier post, mike dunleavy sr. has to go. they should get eddie jordan or mo cheeks (he can develop thornton into ai9 2.0, and he’d give bd freedom in the offense).

ya, its probably too much too give off an okay year for kaman, but it was an awful year for kaman. he can’t stay healthy, he looks lost, and he is not committed to the team (he wants to play for team germany this summer in preliminaries in a year after he missed more than half of the games due to injury and when his team is having a training program in Las Vegas this summer as a team organized by BD and Camby and he wants to skip it for that when hes not even German!) Tayshaun tho is a winner who could be a 20ppg scorer on a team where he is the 2nd option. (the clips) My dream scenario is:

trade kaman for felton + throw in + future 1st.

BD and next years first for prince

    draft blake griffin

sign leon powe as part of MLE

sign von wafer as other part of MLE

    sign jannero pargo for minimum

    lineup:

    pg: felton, pargo, mike taylor
sg: Eric Gordon, wafer, fred jones
sf: Prince, Al Thornton, Steve Novak
    pf: Griffin, Randolph, Leon Powe
c: Camby, Deandre Jordan, thrown in from charlotte.
