I think all 5 players can be specialists at certain things in the league, but if they reach their potential they can be great, but when you think about my bottom 3, their floors can be pretty good, but no where near their ceilings. I do think ceilings, is how good they can be, and I think these players have amazing ceilings.

Anthony Bennett has the potential to be a dominant player in the league if he can shed himself of his tweener status.

    1. Anthony Bennett: The one guy in this draft who could become a top tier iso guy – not likely, but could happen

    2. Ben McLemore: If he develops his handle, he could be a star.

    3. Giannis Adetokoubo: Tremendous handle for a guy his size. Most likely won’t amount to much in the NBA, as he has a long way to go before getting into an NBA rotation, but his ceiling is sky high.

    4. Alex Len: If he gains strength, he could be a more athletic version of Roy Hibbert. He has an NBA game, but needs an NBA physique. Is not that far away.

    5. Nerlens Noel: Best case scenario, he is a Joakim Noah/Tyson Chandler hybrid, which is really damn good.

Hon. Mention: Victor Oladipo could become an Andre Iguodala-type player if he really works on his game and ends up in the right situation. Otherwise, he will be more like Toby Allen, which is not bad.

Giannis: Love his handles for his size, his length is great , his hands huge and allow him to handle the ball like Dr J. If he can mature , get stronger , bring his shot higher, he could be pretty good.
Gobert: Great size, length, agility ,good touch, just needs to get stronger and bigger to be able to bang and not get shoved all over the place.
Noel: Great athleticism , size, agility, how hard he works could determine his ceiling, it’s up to him.
Len: Great coordination for his size, good offensive skills, needs strength and bulk to bang. Could be very good.
    McLamore: Handles?
I’d love to see Kabongo develop, he has the potential.

    1. Victor Oladipo, based on work ethic, defense, and he very well could be the best overall athlete in this draft.
    2. Anthony Bennett,
    3. Nerlens Noel
    4. Ben McLemore
    5. Archie Goodwin

Going a lot off of athleticism is but.. it is kind of a big part of the NBA.. lol

BTW, I would have to say my surprise would be James Southerland. He could end up being the steal of the draft. Dude has range to like mid-court, if he worked on his driving ability, he could be real good…. *cough* Durant *cough*

I’m a Syracuse fan, and I have to say I am embarrassed that you just compared Southerland’s ceiling to Kevin Durant. Southerland is a great shooter when he’s not contested. That’s about it. Nowhere in his game do I see any aspect that is even close to Kevin Durant.

    In no particular order:

Alex Len – Has the size and skill. Just need to see if he can develop a back-to the basket game, strength and toughness.

Shabazz Muhammad – Respected scouts all said that he was the real deal in HS. I realize that was then and this is now, but can you remember a player where all the scout were wrong about in HS?? I can’t…. For example, busts like Kwame and Whiteside had their detractors in HS. It’s true pretty much every scout drooled over Milicic but young Euro players are much harder to gauge then American High Schoolers/College players. I’m still high on Bazz.

Archie Goodwin – He is quick and a good finisher. He could be an offensive sparkplug off the bench pretty much right off the bat. Yes, he can’t guard the ball at all. But there are so many 2s in the league that are horrible defenders.

Mcelmore – Not sure why he’s slipping so much with the posters here. He may not have the ‘killer instinct’ but he’s a lights out shooter. Let’s not forget about how Steph Curry fell to 7th in the 2009 draft. You always grab the elite shooters because at the very least you have a sniper who can spread the floor. While Mcelmore may not have the handle of Curry, he has the size and athletism that Curry lacks. Mcelmore has a high floor and a very high ceiling.

Noel – I have my reservations about drafting him number 1 overall just because he’s soooo limited offensively. But he has the ability to guard the rim and the perimeter which is something very intrguing. He could be the anchor of a defense for a legitimate contender.

    Honorable Mention:
Steven Adams – He fits the bill of a center in today’s game. He runs the floor, plays tough and on the block. He moves with fluidity and attacks. He could be a great NBA defender.

There are heaps of player who were big coming from high school and left scouts disappointed
      for example;

      John Bender
      Eddy Curry
      Samardo Samuels
      Telfair
      Darius Miles
      JaMychal Green
      Xavier Henry
      Kwame
      Millic

The lists goes on. Heaps of player were hyped out of HS but never deliver

Did you read what I said? I specifically mentioned Kwame and Milicic. Brown was a controversial first pick, many thought he wasn’t ready and overrated. I may have overspoken a tad since I don’t know the opinions of every scout. But there are a few players where all of the celebrated scouts agree on the potential of a player. I considered Bazz to be one of those players…. couldn’t find any skeptics during his HS days.
