IlladelphParticipantAnyone else shocked at Tom Crean throwing his entire team under the bus this weekend? He basically said that the sh*tty seaon they are having (1-9 SEC) is his own fault because he let a bunch of crappy players stay on the roster when he took over the team. I mean, it’s really disgusting that a head coach would sh*t all over his own players like that. Really, really, disappointing to see for the players who had to see/listen to their head coach basically say that they aren’t worthy to be at the great UGA basketball program, but he mistakenly allowed them to keep their scholarships and spots on the team, so it’s really his own fault. Wow. Maybe he could be a better human being than that and not sell out his team like that. I’ve never seen anything like that.

IndianaBasketballParticipantOne of my good friends was a walk on at IU several years ago when Crean was there & he said A LOT about how Crean was lol. This doesn’t surprise me at all.

ChewyParticipantis the Scott Skiles of college ball. He comes in as an over the top diciplinarian and by year 3-4 both players and administration are sick of him.
I’m shocked he lasted as long at IU as he did. Luckily for him, IU had 1 or 2 good NCAA runs that let him keep his job longer than he should have.
I still remember reports of how people around him at IU reached out to his mentor Izzo and asked him to call Crean and talk some sense into him.
