2 mocks have this guy going in the lottery (including this site).

Has anyone seen this guy play?

He’s an unathletic, stiff, undersized PF.

I personally wouldn’t draft him at all.

What games have you seen? I think he looks pretty good. I wouldn’t take him lottery but he has some David West type potential. Not huge but big enough, really skilled face up 4 who gets the job done. I wouldn’t take him lotto this year, there are a few great bigs, but Id take him late first in a heartbeat. He is a pretty sure bet type of kid too, seems smart and disciplined. Limited upside but limited downside.

I think he sticks around another year, and goes lotto after dominating the SEC

He kinda reminds me of Boris Diaw, although not quite as good a passer.

He reminds me Larry Johnson when he was a Knick. I love his game, the fact he has the ability to play the post a bit and shoot from 10-17 feet is a plus in my book. In college, he averages 7.5 rebounds and 1.0 blocks so I wonder if that translates into the pro game.

I think he’s a 15-25 pick and could be a guy who can average 15-7 in a career on the right team.

And he projects as a sf in the nba. He’s a solid do it all guy and he’ll help any team with his versatile game. His body reminds me of Corey Maggette or Antwaun Jamison even. I don’t see the Larry Johnson or Boris Diaw comparison but to each his own, at times he looks like a mix of Maggette/Jamison and his ceiling is Iguadola lite. He looks like Turner did his first college season. If he stays and has a National Player of the year season he’ll fly up the draft board next year.

Did you watch him play? He plays NOTHING like Andre Iguodala. Nothing like him. He doesn’t play like Maggette either. Maggette can put the ball on the deck, Harris has that as a weakness. Also, Harris can shoot a 3 but that’s a weak spot for him because he isn’t a great overall shooter.

The Jamison comparison is good as a ceiling.

I see a slimmer version of Jason Thompson. He seems like a solid player who would be a safe pick for a team that wants a mismatch PF. He’s not a special talent, but he does have the look of a good player because he’s smart enough to get the most out of himself.

Comparisons ive heard so far in this thread: Larry Johnson, Boris Diaw, Antwan Jamison, Maggette, Jason Thompson, Iguadala…lol Theres no consistency as far as comparison.

And Scarecrow, your comparison of Tobias to SGs/SFs (Maggette and Iguadala and Evan Turner) is pretty laughable.

To me Diaw and Thompson are the most legit out of the ones you listed.

I hope Tobias,Tyler Zeller of UNC & Tristan Thompson of Texas all return…They have a chance to be very special players at the next level if continue to improve their games …All 3 could be top 10 picks in 2012….

Reminds me of Al Harrington. Build is similar, and they have similar games by age. Seems more like the Harrington of Indiania his first time, and Atlanta. Not so much anymore as Harrington has faded to the perimeter in recent years as he developed and fell in love with the 3 ball.

Diaw is a legit comparison……But i def see him coming back another year to finely tune his skills….If he dominates next year he will be a top 10 lock

Doesn’t have the size, athleticism, or upside to be top 10 IMO. He could very well end up another Brian Cook.
