If you’re the timberwolves and your picking say 5 in the draft this year and charlotte is selecting 1 would you try to move up and take McLemore. Pairing McLemore with Rubio would create a very nice backcourt and you add Kevin Love into the mix for next year. Of course, the timberwolves would have to give up their pick and maybe derrick williams. Right now, the timberwolves really dont have a 2 guard so this would make the most sense if they can somehow pull it off.

I don’t think the Bobcats would want Derrick Williams over a much needed SG.
They just drafted Bismack and MKG, it would be pointless to add another forward when they desperately need a SG or a C.

To answer your question, I do believe the T-Wolves should try to make a move to snag the #1 pick in the draft in order to grab McLemore but they’re not going to get it from the Bobcats.

derrick williams has been playing ok, him a long with their 2 first rounders would make a decent deal for the number 1 pick. Then if they could get kirilenko back and pekovic they should definitely be a contender if no one gets hurt which is a big if because the past 2 years they have gotten destroyed by injuries.

I think the wolves should try and make a play for Jeremy Lamb. All signs point to OKC resigning Kevin Martin this summer so with he and Thabo ahead of Lamb on the Depth chart maybe OKC will be willing to listen to offers. Minny has two picks in this draft so maybe they can get something done. J.Lamb’s off the ball shooter/scorer skill set would fit in well with Rubio/Love/Pek.
