 The Nets don’t deserve to be at All-Star Weekend, so many losses, but their two bigs actually do.

Lopez is one of the best centers in the NBA, he is getting 20 points a game.  With few centers to add to a bench, especially for the East, he probably does get there with his 20 points and 2 blocks per game.

Thaddeus might actually be more deserving.  He is among the league leaders for rebounds, steals and FG%.  16 points and 9 rebounds, his season averages.

 

Who will be the bigger players for East All-Star team?  Drummond, Lopez, Porzingis, with LeBron, Anthony and George.  Porzingis is still a chance to get voted in, but if he doesn’t he would still be a chance to get there in the spot that Lopez, Young, P Gasol, Bosh, Love and Horford are competing for.

As a hawks fan, I MIGHT understand taking Lopez over Horford. Lopez is really underrated and it’s a shame he’s on a lousy team.

In terms of the roster, it’s so hard to predict who’s going to be there because we have no idea who the coaches value. The starters will be the starters and that’s that. But the rest of the roster is hard to say.

I will say I’ll be pretty annoyed if Lillard isn’t on the team especially when Kobe is taking a spot. Nothing against Kobe going, but he should be granted a courtesy spot if anything.

Howard Beck was on the Lowe Post saying Brook Lopez wasn’t a franchise player at all. Based on his statements I don’t know if he has watched one game all year. If it weren’t for Brook and Thad the Nets literally may have zero wins right now.
