kobyzParticipantTyreke Evans = bigger Baron Davis
Gordon Hayward = John Salmons
Ekpe Udoh = shorter Marcus Camby
Tyler Hansbrough = young Jowan Howard

burningfloodParticipantHaha, I wish that Ekpe Udoh would be even close to Camby. Camby’s a DPOY, and Udoh, while pretty good on the defensive end, is nowhere near that right now. Also, Camby’s averaged 10 rpg over his career; Ekpe brings defense, but he’s not a great rebounder for his position. He didn’t rebound particularly well in college (and rebounding translates in the pros) and if you watch him this year, it seems that he either spends too much time trying to block shots (thus not boxing out) or he just can’t get his hands on the ball.
Baron Davis is (or is it was?) a pure point; Tyreke is not. To me, Tyreke plays closer to Corey Maggette than Baron–that is to say, he doesn’t have near the court vision of Baron, but his attack the rim, try to draw contact and only pass out as a last resort style of play is more similar to Maggette than anything else (although he is better on defense, and is not AS MUCH of a black hole as Corey is).
I haven’t watched Hayward or Hansbrough play all that much, so I’m not sure about those comparisons.

i’m jus so offendedParticipantits spelled Juwan Howard player and all of ur comparisons are off base. Reke and B Diddy hahahahaha. wow. Udoh has potential but good call burning, udoh will never win DPOY. Gordo is never going to shoot as much as Salmons, he’s more team orriented and from what I’ve seen much more interested defensively. And dude Juwan averaged 22 and 8 his 2nd season in the league. Longevity wise, I can see the comparison cuz I think Ty will stick around for a long time but Juwan was a stud when he came in the league, Ty has shown flashes but nothing near what Juwan did. So i am telling you no, you are not right

SwatLakeCityParticipantTyreke Evans= yeah I can see that, not bad, better than the one I would have come up with
Ekpe Udoh=not even close. I see more of Kurt Thomas in him.
Hayward=not really. Hayward isn’t as athletic as John Salmons is believe me, I watch Jazz games and he does not resemble Salmons in the least bit. I’d say more Mike Dunleavy/Kyle Korver
Tyler Hansbrough= I’m thinking more Troy Murphy

tyler hansbrough and troy murphy? you do realize that murphy likes to shoot the 3 ball right? you based that comparison on their skin color

RUDEBOY_ParticipantTyreke Evans-Micheal Ray Richardson (old skool, u guys under 25 no nothing bout him)
Gordon Hayward-His game is similar to Franciso Garcia..But i think he’s going to be a much better player than Garcia…..
Ekpe Udoh-Theo Ratliffe
Tyler Hansbrough- hard to say about him….he’s an unothodox player

rehearsed their acceptance speech a 1000 times..
spent 1000’s of dollars on their clothes and jewelry..
set up a special place at their home for the award
and told family & friends to watch the show and then THEY LOSE on National TV in Front of Millions of people and they have to SET THERE LIKE EVERYTHING is OK..
IS a thing of beauty
