As I watched the Knicks against Nuggets tonight, the way Carmelo played in the last stretch of the 4th qtr where he had 11pts to close out the game led to this topic. There are many players in the NBA who can hit big shots and can score the ball at a very high rate. But I dont think there are many players who can just flat out take over a game like this. I mean really takeover at will. Not streaky players. The only players that come to mind are,

Carmelo Anthony
Lebron James
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
Zach Randolph (questionable I know, but he completely takes over games at will)..
James Harden (I was very iffy about this, but he’s the next closest thing to the guys above. IMO )

Other players are big time clutch players too and can finish out games but I wouldnt put them in the same class. Here are a few…
Chris Paul, Paul Pierce, Deron Williams, David West, Dwayne Wade, Russell Westbrook
