goneParticipantFools!! When Darko becomes a free agent everyone is gonna wanna sign him they’re obviously “carving out space”.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantCorey Brewer. Basically, they were needed to help get Denver under the tax line. For their willingness to put Curry on the books they dealt their best defensive player for Anthony Randolph.
I’ll hold off commenting on David Kahn until he compares Anthony Randolph to a young Chris Webber. It is only fair.

torontoraptors10ParticipantCorey Brewer is going to the Nuggets and the T-Wolves get another "potential" player in Anthony Randolph and an HUGE expiring contract in Eddy Curry.
And the most important apart of this trade is that the Timberwolves have a solid front court tandem in Milicic-Curry and Love can move to his natural position, the bench. ( This was sarcasm if you didn’t get it )

4th dimensionSomeone mentioned the Wolves gave up a 1st round also? I kind of like this move considering this will be a weak draft, I’d trade a 1st round lottery for huge cap space, but who the he’ll wanna come play for TWolves. But it is a good move if they can sign someone good and helpful.

delfamParticipantsince nobody wants to go to Minnesota they should be trying to build through the draft since they can’t sign anyone with that capspace. They should be trying to get as many picks as possible.

BlueLacesParticipantI am pretty sure the Wolves are going to buy out Curry’s contract. As far as trading Brewer, he is a restricted free agent anyway and they were going to let him walk, he was never in their long term plans. They give him up in the hopes that Anthony Randolph can realize some of his potential. I don’t mind the move on the Wolves part. Getting rid of Brewer and getting Randolph is a low risk/high reward move.

BlueLacesParticipantJust got a retweet from Jerry Zgoda, Wolves insider for Star Tribune. He said that the Wolves aren’t sending a pick away in the deal, just Brewer and are expected to take 3 million in cash and waive Curry right away.

RickyRubio9ParticipantMichael Beasley, Johnny Flynn, Sebastion Telfair, Martell Webster, Kevin Love, Ricky Rubio, Wesley Johnson, Darko Milicic, Eddy Curry, and Anthony Randolph?
Does anyone else have more Lottery Picks then the T-Wolves?
They better get good!

flyboyParticipantEspecially since they aren’t giving up a pick reportedly. Randolph has potential and gives them a nice athletic 4 who is a good change of pace to Love and what Kevin brings to the table. I don’t see how he and Beasley fit really, however. Curry gives them a big expiring contract that they’re going to buy out. Brewer was almost certainly gone after the season. So they did nothing to hurt their core, got something back for a player who isn’t a part of their plans, got a player with talent back and shed some salary. Minnesota has made out well here.

sheltwon3ParticipantActually if Kahn has a little sense he will trade a few of his young promising talent for a legit veteran in his prime, They have enough young talent now that getting vets to bring a winning mentality is in order. All it takes though is one specially player and they may get it. Also Brewer was going to be let go anyway. They have like a million swingman so they did not give up much for Randolph who has value and could get minutes and do like Beasley has done and put up numbers. I dont think they will win much because they need older players but they at least are not boring to watch and ask the Clippers, being entertaining is sometimes just as good as winning.

kngojcParticipantI think Randolph does have some potential and when plugged into a system with unathletic forwards, he could do some good. Especially since he will most definitely get some clock because we all know how much talent MN has now.
