bobbybParticipantPlease don’t say Lebron needs a new supporting cast. All this does put down the accomplishment of the Spurs. The Spurs were a well oiled machine that probably could have beaten an all-star team , that is how hot they were.
Dont under estimate how much player development the Spurs put in. Even Tiago Splitter was drafted 6-7 years ago only to be a back-up center.
There is nothing wrong with the Heat. They have to make roster adjustments whetther they won the title or not. Losing in the Finals should not change anything .

tidhoParticipantIt can be both, in fact I think there’s a third one too.
1) LeBron needs better performances around him.
2) The Spurs played outstanding defense and offensively were simply great.
3) LeBron’s ball dominance diminishes the effectiveness of his teammates.
I believe all three of those statements are true.

SpartanGloryParticipantLebron’s ball dominance is what makes his team better. When he drives and kicks the ball out he gets everyone open shots. Plus he’s such a good decision maker with the ball, why would you not want the ball in his hands? If anything he should be more selfish.
as for the topic, the heats bench was non existent, and Chalmers choked harder than any starting pg I’ve seen in the finals. The heat could for sure stand to get some roster upgrades.

HaleParticipantI don’t agree with the "nothing is wrong with the Heat" but I do agree with everything else. Society today is so messed up man. There are two reasons why the Spurs won the finals.
1) The Spurs playing absolutely beautiful basketball showing that a team will always beat one player
2) The Heat supporting cast was awful. The Big 3 is a myth
But for some reason people have created #3) LeBron James, despite being the best player in the series by any measure and the only competent player on his team through the past five games should’ve done more and is a huge choke artist for losing to a fantastic team that executed at the highest level of basketball you could possibly hope for mainly because he’s the biggest name
It’s so frustrating.

Moon RiverParticipantI saw this posted on twitter:
Spurs Roster: Built
Heat Roster: Bought.
Does not tell the entire picture but not completely wrong either. Just different ways of getting to be NBA champs.

Forte IVParticipantThe whole built vs bought argument is so stupid. You have to buy back those built pieces eventually.

Jester87ParticipantAmen. Most of the greatest Lakers teams were built, I don’t remember anyone complaining about it. It’s just as legit as any other way to build a winning team.

Jester87ParticipantI do agree to some degree, but definitely LeBron needs a better supporting cast, mostly because the one he has now is old and it’s probably going to get even worse next year (and this year it was worse than it was last season). The Spurs were terrific and probably they would’ve won even if the Heat had more depth. But with this supporting cast the Heat simply couldn’t compete, they had no answers.
