    These are the participants. Not a bad selection though as most of them can really put on a show. Who’s your pick to win the Dunk Contest? Well, I’m going with Derrick Jones Jr on this one.

     Derrick Jones might be the biggest favorite ever, if anyone takes the time to watch his dunk vids. Just sayin'(since this seems to be the new buzzword of nbadrafty.net).

    This dude Derrick Jones’ dunk highlights are insane, but I wonder how he’ll perform under the pressure/bright lights of All-Star weekend. He’s a full time D-Leaguer.

      That’s my only concern with him. As far as ability, he SHOULD win no problem.

      But I still haven’t forgot James White’s dud in the contest the year he got in. It’s different in front of all those people.

         James White was already 30-31 yrs old, James White at 19-25? MAN, watch out. Derrick Jones is the closest we have to a young James ‘Flight’ White.

          It wasn’t age that made James White lay that dud. It was the pressure of those bright lights lol.

     You guys are tripping. Jones is an amazing dunker but Gordon’s gonna have this crowd on a string. He’s the favourite.

     Yeah, Gordon was clutch last year. Glad to see him back in it. Outside of Lavine and Gordon the last five, six years have been full of guys who try crazy dunks but cant pull them off.   In case anyone is interested my favorite dunk contest was 2000 with Carter and Steve Francis and McGrady going at it.  Everyone remembers Carter’s performance but Franchise and McGrady could have won any of the the past contests minus the last two years.  Those guys were getting 9s and 10s.

    I don’t know how Gordon can top last year, but I hope him getting robbed ticks him off enough to come up with some crazy stuff. And here’s hoping Derrick Jones will show out cause that man is unreal

     Wish Old Man Vince Carter could have gone out there! I KNOW more people would watch to see if Vince could make history.  

    Not too excited to see Glenn Robinson III.

    DeAndre Jordan is a good dunker but big guys like him don’t usually do well…

    I wonder if the 3 point shootout will surpass the dunk contest in popularity — if it already hasn’t.

    I like to see great dunkers — but I like to watch the stars dunk, too. 

    I also think they should have more than 4 guys dunking. Do 6 dunkers.  3 rounds. So you get to see some more dunkers with different styles and different dunks. Get some smaller guys out there, some wings, some bigs, a rookie or 2, and maybe an older veteran type.

     I don’t think Jones deserves to be in. Ernie said he only played 11-minutes this year. Glenn Robinson is good but kind of unspectacular. Nance got snubbed really deserves to be in there.
