I believe his game is Similar to a consistent C.J Miles(Although C’J takes a ton of 3’s). He won’t wow you one game and not the next like C.J who will score 28 then 6,3,17,4,21 and so on. C.J Miles had the talent to be better but his consistency led to him being a back up, in and out of the rotation.

This is C.J Miles game log this year

I see him more as Jim Jackson. I have Shabazz has the # 3 SG prospect in this draft behind McLemore and Oladipo. Shabazz’s lack of all around game and questionable conditioning (work ethic?) has raised red flags to me and wouldn’t touch him in top 5.

If you know shabazz you know the last thing anyone would question is his work ethic

The guy came in the season out of shape. Last time I checked, staying in playing shape is part of work ethic. That’s why I put a “?” on his work ethic.

You do know that he was hurt right? He missed 8 weeks during the summer which Ben howland called the worst ankle sprain that he has ever seen. Than right before the season started he missed almost a month due to a sprained shoulder and might have missed the first game of the season whether he was eligible or not. So when he was finally cleared to play he only had a few practices in so obviously he was going to be out of shape. His dad actually didn’t even want him to play that first game because he knew shabazz wasn’t in shape which did effect his explosiveness and quickness Were guys like John wall, Eric Gordon, dirk and others not out of shape when they came back from there injuries? Do you question there work ethic? Shabazz was hurt so of course he wasn’t going to be in shape

Why sit here and try and compare him to other players. He has an unorthodox offensive game. Good motor, will follow shots. Decent shooter. Can’t create offense for others. Suspect ball handler. left hand dominant. plays a little under the rim. To me the flaws outweigh the good. regardless somebody going to take him top 5 due to his “potential” to be a 20 ppg scorer which I don’t think he will be. God bless him wish him success but after evaluating the mans’ game I just don’t see it.

I been saying the same thing ManLuger about Shabazz. I just don’t see “IT” with him. And I think in addition to what ManLuger said the biggest problem he may have is that he sees himself as “that guy” when really his skill set screams complimentary player.

Look at the elite wings in the NBA and what skill set does he have that any of the elite wings/guards have?

Shoots it solidly but can’t create, can’t handle. He actually plays more like a power 3 than a SG.

I’m sticking with my Richard Jefferson comparison from his later years with the nets.
