No, he’s way too one dimensional, he’s not athletic, is an undersized 2, strictly a jumpshooter,not a good defender, and cannot create off the dribble for himself or others.

He’ll get a shot in summer league or even training camp, but I don’t think he’ll ever make a team, but it wouldn’t surprise me if he did, he might not be the player his brother is, but he’s still pretty good. But he’ll get a shot at the least.

no, he is not as good as House. House is much quicker and better with the ball. House can create space for himself. the biggest downside to Curry to me is his inability to play PG. He is just not comfortable at all handling the ball or setting up teammates.

If Trajan Langdon couldn’t make it, then No, Seth Curry has no shot. I doubt he could even make it as a 3 point specialists because he’s too short and won’t be able to get his shot off at the next level that easy, it’s not a Steve Novak situation whose 6’9′

Last summer Memphis Grizzlies brought in several outstanding college shooters,hoping to find that dimaond in the rough..Most of those werent well known,are their teams best players..But made names for themselves becuz of their great shooting skills,and Memphis is having problems again getting consistency from the perimeter..So a guy like Seth might be looked at when Memphis selects near the bottom of the 2nd round next summer…

When he was at Liberty he had the ball in his hands alot,and showed he does have decent court vision,that can make plays for other,he averaged 4 rbs a game at Liberty..But when he got to Duke they already had Irving and Nolan Smith running the point, and Coach K used him primary as a spot up shooter ,Seth had to get use to playing off the ball and he struggled..

I am sure he will get a shot, and who knows, he may succeed. He wont do that though if he cannot show some ability to play PG. He is not as good as Scottie Reynolds and has most of the same limitations.

I think he’ll make it. He really isn’t a whole lot more than a shooter, but he can play both guard positions, will have all sorts of resources after the season ends ( I remember Steph working one on one with Chris Paul before the draft ) and he’s on a team that is good enough to make a deep run in the tourney ( late season press always helps out guys ).

When I look at Jared Bayless, Janereo Pargo, Eddie House, Gary Neal and some other guys who stick in the leauge as combos who are brought off the bench to shoot, I don’t really see where Seth falls short in comparison. He’s not a very jaw dropping prospect, but I think he’ll stick.

those guys or either bigger, more athletic, or both. we are talking about guys who are scorers, not just shooters. Certainly Seth is not on par with the ability of Bayless.

I know a lot of guys like Bayless, but the only thing he’s done is score 4-10 ppg off the bench, while shooting 40%. I also don’t know how a long armed 6’2″ is that much different from a short armed 6’3″.

How about guys like Steve Kerr and Craig Hodges then? You could argue different era, but then what about Boobie Gibson, Jodie Meeks, Roger Mason Jr?

I think if Seth shows that he can be passable defensively in the NBA he’ll at least have a cup of coffee in the league. He’s not just a shooter. He’s got some creativity and smarts to his game as well.

The funny thing is his 16 points per game on 62% TS% blows Austin Rivers’s 15 points on 52% TS% out of the water. And yet Austin Rivers is the dead eye scorer with the swagger game and Seth Curry can’t play. Of course, Rivers was a freshman and we need to make allowances for that (though of course Curry obviously shot better and scored more his freshman year, but that was for Liberty and playing lesser competition).

He doesn’t have the height or the athleticism to project to be successful at the next level. Seth is getting it done nicely in college. And as Joe Wolf says, let’s not forget the impact that a long run in the NCAA tournament can have on scouts. They tend to remember the last guy they watched and there is a decent chance that the last game the scouts watch will be Curry winning a national championship. If that happens and if he scores in either the tournament in general or that final game in particular, then I think he will be drafted.

By the way, I’m not saying he should be drafted. His rebounds, assist, steals and block are terrible. In total they add up to less than five a game. That is just terrible and it shows a serious lack of athleticism and ability to impact the game outside of shooting. Even Rivers put up better numbers in those categories.

Ohh, and did anyone else catch the Duke game last night? Man Plumlee was terrible. I’m still blown away by these Plumlees being so big, so fast, so springy and yet so bad. It just seems nearly impossible to have those gifts, that coaching and an apparent high degree of desire and yet be unable to put it together. I know Plumlee has done it this year. But I haven’t caught many games. I know I just caught a dud, but wow it still blows me away.

He’s putting up 19/11 2 blks a game on 63% from the floor, an over 30 PER and is a CPOY candidate on the #1 team in college ball. After his start, he’s allowed to have a clunker.

Sons of ex players find ways to stick around so I think he will have a shot but it will mostly be about being in the right place at the right time.

I wont be surprised if seth curry is on a roster by next fall only due to his shooting and name….. not saying he will last long…. but I honestly feel he will be on some teams roster by next fall
