 Pretty sure this guy is gonna go 4th overall in the draft. Hes pretty much a carbon copy of Pascal Siakam and the way Siakam has been playing in this years playoffs youd think teams would love to get that type of player on their team. I expect him to rise up draft boards as the day gets closer in typical international prospect fashion.

Would L.A. really take a risk like that though? They’ve already taken a lot of flack for having such a drama-filled season of disappointment. I’m not saying that Doumbouya’s talent/potential isn’t possibly worth that high a selection but L.A. if they missed on this pick would receive even more heat.

 Starting to think more and more they go Garland. He’d be a good insurance if Lonzo goes down again, or if they decide to move on from him. Solid shooter that can create his own shot would pair well with Lonzo in the backcourt imo.

I have no idea where the lakers should go with this pick and I’m about 80% sure they’ll wind up trading it. Out of the players that will be available, garland is my early favorite as I feel he would fit a need on their roster. Than again, I really have no idea what their roster is going to look like next season outside of lebron. There’s just so much that’s up in the era at this point. The lakers need to consider not only the player that could help them the most but also the player that would have the highest trade value. I’ll admit I don’t know that much about sekou, but he honestly could be about as good a guess as any.

 I’ve got Ja, Zion, Garland, Bol, and Hunter along with RJ Barrett really close together at the top.  These guys are pretty much Tier 1 or Tier 1.5.  After that it comes down to fit, culture, and time line.  The next 10 to 15 (or more) prospects are basically either Tier 2 or Tier 2.5.  

In this draft teams might take a flyer on "upside" guys like Darius Bazley, Sekou, Luka Samanic, and Jalen Lacque.

Myles Turner, the ideal center to pair with LeBron, cannot he obtained by the Lakers. He can block shots, defend the paint, and hit 3’s. He probably won’t do any of those things quite as well as Turner. But very few centers can do those things. Bol Bol may have those qualities. He can also drive and has surprising mobility and skill. As for the 208 pound problem… there have been other successful projects who were light big men. Family history suggests foot injuries aren’t common. 

The real problem is that the Lakers won’t draft him. Sadly. Pelinka already telegraphed this. He said they’ll trade the pick or find someone who can have an immediate impact. He mentioned how today’s rookies can impact the playoffs. Bol is not that guy. He’s a project who can pay off big in 5 years. 

I think Hunter is the guy. LA values NBA ready guys and tourny guys even more so. Hunter does everything decently, is skilled, and strong. He could probably handle some PF. I don’t like him off the dribble much: he always needs to use size and strength to get around guys: he’s not slippery at all. Some think his shot is too mechanical. I think that’s crazy talk. I think he’s one of the top 3 shooters on the draft. LA could use that. I think he’ll be good, just not inspiring. A 12th pick in a different year.

Doumbouya is still pretty raw and more of an outside player than Siakam. He had 34pts tonight on 5/7 from three. If he can have the same kind of games in the playoffs, he will be a surefire top 10, maybe top 6 pick.

The most impressive aspect of Sekou is his size. Dude is a bigger OG Anunoby but with the same mobility. I don’t think he should go fourth as he needs consistent minutes in order to develop. But he’s certainly top 10
