RUDEBOY_ParticipantBleacher Report is talking about a rumored trade between the Warriors & 76’ers ..With players Andre Iguodola & Monta Ellis changing coasts…Ellis averaged 25 points a game last season 6th in the league last year..But he had a 78% player efficiency rating…Iggy moves the ball well for a wing player and is a much better defender than Ellis..The 76’ers want to surround Evan Turner with shooters and Ellis can do just that…Iggy is 1 of the better all around players in the league..But the 76’ers have Turner who they feel is very similar to Iguodala…

dmo21ParticipantIf this trade goes down as just a 1 for 1 deal, I’d like to see Philly start Holiday, Ellis, Young, Brand, Hawes and have Turner as their 6th man as he can play both wing positions. Turner could replace either Holiday, Ellis, Young or Brand in that rotation as: Ellis, Turner, Young, Brand, Hawes or Holiday, Turner, Young, Brand, Hawes or Holiday, Ellis, Turner, Brand, Hawes or Holiday, Ellis, Turner, Young, Hawes.

MkadozaParticipant35-50 is a pretty bigg margin.
The heat will win 58-73 games.
See what I did there?

dmo21ParticipantWell.. I’ll agree the Warriors have a great front court, and starting lineup as a whole with Curry, Ellis, Wright, Lee, Biedrins.. But the bench is not strong but quite weak, they have a good 6th man in Reggie Williams. But the rest of the bench is alright, but threel are great defenders in Bell, Amundson, and Gadzuric. Radmanovic is a shooter that can be off and on.. But I wouldn’t say the bench is magnificent.

Mr. 19134ParticipantFirst off if the Sixers trade Iggy it would be to give Turner the keys not to be a bench player.
And this rumor actually has wings because this is not the first time I heard of it. It makes sense for both teams at initial glance, and it makes the most sense for the Warriors who get a player who will fit better with Curry, fill a need on the wing, and impact the game more then Ellis does.
But the thing that really caught my attention is them saying Ellis is a shooter…Ellis is not a shooter he is a scorer. He does not shoot the ball well from 3 and is even more ball dominant then Iggy so i’m not sure how good of a fit he would be. But Ellis and Holiday fit well together if you wanna throw Turner at the 3.

OhCanada-ParticipantIf anyone has watched the preseason they would know that Ellis is a franchise player in G-State. He is the guy. He is happy and so is golden State with him. They have a nice playbook set up nowadays with their halfcourt sets. They use their bigs in the paint and have a plethora of screens, and cuts to open iup guys like Ellis for easy mid range jumpers and layups. It is no longer shoot at will basketball. Why would Philly make this deal anyways. They have an overload of gaurds and wings they need a premiere big.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantIggy is much better player than Ellis…The Sixers do not need a 6’3 Ball hog…we already have Lou Williams for that…he’s cheaper and younger than Monte and he hasn’t broken rules put into his contract and then lied about it…I’d rather take Biedrins and a 1st rounder from the Warriors if we were going to trade Iggy to Golden State…at least Biedrins defends and rebounds, is young enough to grow with the Team and would make the Warriors give up a pick to get Iggy…
As for Monte for Iggy…that’s a horrible trade for the Sixers…someone mentioned we don’t need any more Guards we need a C…one That can rebound and block shots…and getting another 1st round pick in any trade is a must…Iggy has a lot of value in the League and to be Honest Monte doesn’t…who wants to trade for a guy who tore his ankle up riding a mo pad and then lied about it…I’m good on any deal involving that Chucker…we don’t need him…we have 4 guards that can play bigger roles than Ellis…They all score, pass, rebound and defend…why trade one of them for a 1 dimensional player like Ellis…

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWho the Hell wouldn’t…it’s a 2 for 1 trade but to be honest it would have made sense…to get a top 10 player and leading scorer in the NBA for 2 young guys that are still growing into their roles in the NBA…It would have been a good move for both…but since Melo is blinded by the bright lights of the Big Apple the deal was a no go/…honestly the Sixers can just sit on their youth and talent…they are a borderline playoff team this year and have a number of young guys that can have breakout seasons this year…

Mr. 19134ParticipantYeah if their is a way you can get a guy like Melo you have to do it.
And Ellis wouldn’t be all bad because he is an amazing scorer but we don’t need him with Holiday. If we didn’t have Holiday I think Turner and Ellis would make a sensational back court with Turner being the playmaker and Ellis the scorer.
And I’d rather have Biendrins from Golden State.
