He’s 6’4 which IMO is great.

Some say he has the court-vision of (Nash/Kidd/& Pistol) but the lateral speed of Jack Haley.

Is he really better than KIrving?

What #’s/ & accolades do you project for Mr.Rubio if is with the TWolves?

Is he a Good Fit for the Triangle Offense?

And last is he worth the hype?

His passing ability is superb, but his speed is something to be desired. He also is not a great shooter. Reminds me of Jose Calderon.

No, he is not better than Kyrie Irving, but for some odd reason David Kahn has fallen in love with this kid and thinks he is better then Kyrie Irving. Strage I know, but that’s David Kahn for you.

I don’t like to predict #’s. You never know what will happen, but I think he will be a bust. What the Wolves should do is draft Irving, and trade both Rubio and Flynn, but I know that David Kahn is not smart enough to do that.

Sure, I guess he’s a good fit for the triangle offense, but the Wolves don’t run the triangle so that doesn’t matter.

No, he is not worth the hype, but according to David Kahn, he is, and I guess that’s all that matters since he is the GM.

I’m not one to say a player won’t be any good if I havent seen much of that player’s game. I do think his hype is so enormous that it’s almost impossible for him to live up to the billing, he would basically have to be Steve Nash just to satisfy those skeptics. I don’t think he will be as good as Nash, perhaps a poor man Jason Kidd based on his size, inconsistent shooting, and defensive capability. I doubt he rebounds like Kidd does which is why I say he is his poor man version. I do think he fits the triangle offense based on scouting report because he has size, his lack of Elite speed/quickness suggest he would thrive better in half court set.

I think his career projection stats might look like:
    14PPG 8APG 4RPG.

I would still take Kyrie Irving because of age, ability to play in anytype of system (fast pace or halfcourt set) and I’ve seen what he can do, so I know his game more than Rubio.

I read a slam article about him & they compared him to Magic/Pistol when he was 15. so i just want to see what all of the hype is about.

If Rubio was in this year’s draft he’ll be the top pick…Even if guys like Barnes or Perry Jones were in it…He has things you cant teach….

I dont know about putting Rubio in the same class of Magic or Pistol Pete, but i do think he’s going to be a special player once he comes the the nba….

Maybe he’ll have the same effect on the league that Jason Kidd had…

He is not as good as Irving at the current time. But he does have tremendous vision and a willing defender. Yet his shooting is terrible and his speed is not top notch but its not the worst either for a point guard. Lastly he is a true point so, NO THE TRIANGLE offense is NOT good for him or any other pure point guard. The Triangle is designed for a team that doesnt have a strong point guard. Thats why the Bulls ran it n Jordan Era. Thats why the Lakers run it now. The triangle takes away the creativity of the point guard.

    No jumpshot
    No athleticism
Makes for a really difficult transition to the NBA especially with Guards
We’ll see how far his vision and euro experience takes him in the NBA

Whenever I see him play he reminds me of Jason Kidd. The way he pushes the ball down the court in transition, superb court vision, excellent passing and his below average shooting. Kidd has improved his shooting alot throughout the years, but I haven’t really seen Rubio improve offensively that much these last couple of years and that worries me some. Sometimes I have the feeling he’s already reached his ceiling. His speed is not top notch and his quickness is just not what it should be. Offensively he’ll be a game changer but defensively he’ll come up short.

Ricky Rubio may not be top notch Speed or quickness . But he can improve on his stamina and Cardio in the future . He has excellent passing and good court vision. Thats what we was missing last season. Rubio can be the piece that brings things together through his assets.

itll be interesting to see how he goes.

His offensive game is defanatly better suited to the NBA.

Somewhere between Jose Calderon and Steve Nash, and if your a twolves fan your hoping more for the nash part haha

Kurt Rambis planned to use the Triangle offense with Minnesota but that never worked out because of 2 reasons, one his players don’t really listen to him (part of the reason why the Wolves suck) and 2 they don’t really have the PG for it. If you watch the Wolves play you will notice they don’t even use the triangle system. The Lakers play it the best , but the Wolves aren’t even close too it. I really think that this is Kurt Rambis’ last year in Minny. If the players don’t listen to him, then its clear he does not have a secure hold on the job. Same thing is happening in Detroit with John Kuester.

Oky guys Ricky Rubio can work on his cardio in the offseason. Guys come on Knock it off about us getting Kyrie Irving .

We dont need another PG in this draft. And it would be stupid we would be forced to trade Flynn and Ricky Rubio or Kyrie Irving. This would make david kahn look stupid again.  Mark Cuban even see"s something in Ricky Rubio the Knicks see somthing in Rubio and the offense we is run is a fast up-tempo offense . teams that want him run are offense if these teams see something in Rubio why would we trade him . He mush have some very good potential for playoff teams too want him .

Derrick Williams would be the best choice and trade him to the Clippers for are pick back, Or we can keep him and let him come off the bench for Micheal Beasly. And for that Wesly Johnson and Martell Webster can stay running the Shooting Guard spot. And probaly the Small Forward spot when Beasly or Williams is tired or playing Power Forward..

Ricky Rubio can not probably find his shoot . But he can work on his Cardio . And thats real. And the way he play is like a RONDO you hear me Rondo.

i just love this rotation =)

    Rotation:::

    1.Ricky Rubio, Luke Ridnour

    2.Wesly Johnson,Martell Webster

    3.Micheal Beasly, Derrick Williams

    4.Kevin Love,Anthony Randolf

5.Darkio Milic, ?????? (REMEBER) WE CAN SIGN,,,,Samuel Dalemebert or Tyson Chandler..(REMBER) WE HAVE TO TRADE FLYNN..  +) more too come

Rubio is the real deal, and the hype is warranted, i doubt us European’s would get this excited for a basketball player unless he was a special talent. I don’t think Minnesota’s triangle is good for him, or having another play-mate Point Guard. I’d really like Rubio moved to a team that gives him the go-around to express himself.

But he’s quicker then a lot of people think. He’s a very good athlete, moves up the court with grace and can dunk very impressively, and will have no problem translating because he doesn’t really use his athletic ability that much anyway, he’s much smarter then that and let’s not forget. he’s also 6-4 with a wingspan of around 6-7, to be honest you don’t need to be a brillant athlete if you have a height advantage at the point guard. Like Rudeboy said, if he was in this draft, he would be the top pick no question, he’s a class apart from anyone in this draft and that includes Irving.
