    http://www.grantland.com/story/_/id/8890734/chuck-klosterman-royce-white

They are trying to get to know Royce White and he’s saying that he could contribute to an NBA team right now but at the same time saying he is only shooting once a week and I’m sure he isn’t working out with NBA talent. He says that anyone with a drinking, gambling or anger problem has mental issues which sounds like his way of making himself the Pied Piper of Crazytown.

He loses some credibility when he says that he could handle the travel right now but it would wear on him by the end of the season…because that is the way every single other player in sports would say. White has a problem with hateful people on Twitter but keeps going out there and spewing his theory on mental health.

I’m not sure why he signs his deal with Houston and doesn’t start in the D League for another two weeks but I am going to be really interested in D League results and we’ll see how he can hold up to the rigors of professional basketball.

I just read this article about 20 minutes ago. Really good and interesting read. I agree with the writer, Chuck, that a lot of times Royce White seems to contradict himself. I really don’t know what to make of this situation other than it’s getting tiresome. Royce White needs to figure out if he wants to play in the NBA or be a mental health advocate. Neither choice is the wrong choice, but it would be extremely difficult to be both. Overall it seems to be a sad story. There is no middle ground with Royce White. It’s either his way or no way. He needs to understand that that is not how the world works. Hopefully he figure out what he wants to do, because he certainly has the talent to be an impact NBA player, but I don’t think that that’s what he is focused on at the moment. In the article he admitted to shooting around maybe once a week, and he hasn’t really worked out all that much since summer league ended. Sad story all around if you ask me.

I’ve been someone who has tried to give him some benefit of the doubt (except for his Twitter behavior) but after reading this, he’s just full of s***. Complete contradiction, so arrogant, so far in his own head. This dude cannot be a advocate for mental health because he is completely unstable. He’s living in an alternate reality. His stance on stress is insane. If you want no stress in your life, kill yourself, because it’s not possible.

I’m not going to go too far into it but I can identify, as I have a mental health disorder, but I take medication and just go ahead with my business everyday and basically live life like anyone else in this world. This dude is using his condition as a cop out. As a crutch. I would be and am currently ashamed of this “advocacy” he brings for this community I’m not necessarily proud to belong to.

I honestly hate this dude. He has brought more negative attention than positive to the mental health realm. He makes people like myself look crazy and it’s not always the case. I’m a normal dude. F*** Royce White. To a very very tiny extent, you make me feel bad for who I am and that doesn’t make you some kind of advocate. It makes you an a**hole. What would make me respect you and accept you as someone who should be looked up to is if you would shut up, do your job and show that people with mental health issues are not different than the next person.

Sorry had to get that off my chest.

He wants his doctor to make all medical decisions, his doctor is his family doctor and has no training in the mental health field.

His doctor advised him that it is in his best interest if Houston signed her to keep a eye on White, ( he is getting bad advice form leeches is what it sounds like)

Forgot which interview of his he said this, and I am much to Sober to try to find it right now
