LitteringAnd…ParticipantWhat the actual fuck is going on. He had a worrying post-allstar season, a horrible series against the Hawks, and is apparently now determined to be the biggest case of spontaneous decline in NBA history.
In just 10 minutes tonight he has piled up 0 points (0-1), 0 boards, 2 turnovers, and 4 fouls. This team has had their chemistry fall apart completely so forget the scoring but how to you get 4 fouls and no rebounds in 10 minutes when you’re 7’2"?

BrentSuriaga01ParticipantI can’t believe what this guy is doing right now. He looks like sh-t on the court? No points, no rebound for 15 minutes of play? For Christ sake!!! He is making Kwame Brown look really good

TarHeelRavenParticipantI was just about to post something on Hibbert but my man beat me to it. Stunned at the stat line of 18 minutes, zero points, zero rebounds and 5 fouls. Embarrassing is a huge understatment for Hibbert. Going from all-star to complete non-factor. He’s worse than a non-factor, he’s the worst player in the entire NBA right now. When it rains it pours and if Hibbert doesn’t figure something out, anything out, the Pacers will lose and his spot on the Pacers and maybe in the NBA could be in jeopardy. Never seen anything like this.

TimeForNineParticipantHibbert’s rpg this year: 6.6
Michael Carter-Williams, 6-6 PG: 6.2 rpg
Russell Westbrook, 6-3 PG: 5.7 rpg
Jason Kidd averaged 6.6 rpg or higher seven times in his career.
An all-star 7-2 center on the number one team in his conference shouldn’t even be in the same stratosphere when being compared to point guard rebounding. Rebounding goes hand-in-hand with effort. Roy Hibbert isn’t putting all-star effort out on the court right now.

BigChamp12ParticipantI’ll say it again. He’s always been overrated! Not athletic. Not agile. No real skill. Fouls an awful lot but gets benefit of the doubt because of the verticality BS. And people really called him a Top 3 Center in the league. If im the Pacers, I trade him regardless of what happens the rest of the way. He’s paid too much to get under 6 pts and under 3 rbs sooooo many times while being 7’2

LindseyParticipantI honestly feel the Pacers only really look to this dude right now to beat up on the heat ‘centres’ in this prposed dream matchup. If he dont perform there or they dont even advance past round 2 I dont his future in indianna, or as an alstar, being long term

tuck243ParticipantAnd the case is here… Obviously he’s not playing well… And that 6 rebounds a game is a head scratcher… But I think the Pacers rebounds as a team and don’t look to their bigs to grab it… David West averaged around the same amount of rebounds as Hibbert since being a Pacer… I’m not too concerned with that since they rarely get beat on the boards…
What made the Pacers such a good team early on was Hibbert… Honestly, he was their MVP… He was my vote for DPOY the first couple of months because he was dominating defensively… He practically controlled the game down there… PG and Lance were hounding players on the perimeter, but he was back there if players got passed them…
Right now??? Idk who is out there… But he’s out of it mentally… You can be in a funk offensively, stuff happens… But defense is all determination… He just doesn’t have that right now… As you saw today the Pacers NEED Hibbert… And that goose egg stat line isn’t going to cut it… Gortat and Nene won’t pull him too far away from the basket like Atlanta did, so he really ran out of excuses… I don’t know what you can do with him if this seems to linger on… Probably can’t trade him now…

XYRYXParticipantI haven’t seen the Wizards game but was shocked when I saw the boxscore today.
There has to be more than ‘just’ poor play. The chemistry seems to be completely f*cked up and Hibbert seems to be the outsider right now. This is what happens when your confidence is completely shattered.
Has anyone information what Roy is saying about his ‘play’ right now?0 - Posted on: Mon, 05/05/2014 - 11:12pm #898011
