Rodney Stuckey has been on fire as of late averaging 24.2ppg, 3.6rpg, 5.1apg after the all star break. If he keeps playing at a level close to this than he might join Brandon Knight as the pistons backcourt of the future. With them and Greg Monroe it looks like the pistons have got a good foundation for the future. All they need to do is draft well and get rid of their bad contracts.

He played a terrible game today against the Clippers.  They’re entire backcourt struggled, Knight, Gordon, and Stuckey shot a combined 7-33.

Don’t like him at the point spot starting either. He is a 6th man on a winning team who could come out and light opponents up. As a starter he will score a lot on a losing team.

When Stuckney came out I thought he was a shooting guard but they forced him to be a point and had mixed reviews.  I think as a 2 guard he is a much better player.

Stuckney is a true combo who works best off the ball as a creating 2-guard.  At that spot, he may be a top 5 2 in the league.  Check Detroit’s record when he gets more than 34-minutes.  He’s a great harasser off ball defensively, can truly score, and gets to the line like a boss.  I’m curious to see if Detroit can succeed running 2 combo guards, he and Knight, but the versatility and creativity might be enough.  No lotto team goes from intriguing to contender by adding Anthony Davis nearly as much as Detroit, though Tom Robinson with his fire is a likewise awesome fit.
