 7/33 to start summer league damn that’s rough. Even Trae Young didn’t start this bad. He’ll be fine though but man he’s about to built a condo if he keeps shooting bricks. On a positive note, he does have 10 rebs in his last game.

Coby White has been patient so far but unlike Barrett, at least he’s automatic at the mid. Dude shoot 0-11 for 3 in his first two games as well. Good thing this is summer league.

 We’re you expecting anything else? RJ is a high volume shooter with a very inconsistent jumper off the bounce and catch/shoot. He’s not a great free throw shooter either. He’s not getting to the paint like he did in college where he is most effective. I love the fact he is getting up a ton of shots. I wonder what’s his confidence is like after 2 horrible shooting games. Let’s see how he is really built. 

Looks like he lost a step as well and some bounce.

That’s about right.  Barrett is not a player you can incorporate into your team. He is a ball dominant, tunnel vision  wing who can’t shoot that well.  I have felt all year that RJ was overrated.  He will be a borderline starter in this league

 After seeing Markelle Fultz look really good in summer league a few years back, I no longer overreact one way or another to how players look in summer league. That being said it’s not a good look for Barrett, but there have been plenty of so so guys in summer league who were better in real games and vice versa.

 Never understood the concept that it was a 3 players draft which included barrett in there. I see Garland turning out to be a better player anyway

 He’ll be fine. He needs to get back into shape. To be honest that year at Duke did nothing for him. Taught him any shot is a good shot, never was encouraged to share the ball, never had competent shooters around him to do so. Coach K never pulled him or got at him for being selfish. Wouldve been much better off at another program.

Coach Fiz will have a short leash. Time for him to adapt a role.

Hes not Kobe, or Tmac or anything like that. People need to understand that. Knicks need to stop hyping this guy up as their franchise superstar just for media purposes. Hes a great prospect but just chill and let him develop.

 Being at Duke taught him how to be a Pro and have a long lasting NBA career on the court, off the court, and after his NBA days are over.

 Game 4. Another double double.. RJ is gonna get to the ft line a lot. Still a sub 70% shooter tho.

 He’s about to figure it out which is nice plus he’ll get a lot of touches in the regular season anyways which is key to winning ROTY.

 Yup. His usage will high, and he’s durable. Because he’s inefficient I dont have him as ROY. 1st Team yes.

 Barrett certainly has his flaws. Cant shoot from 3, bad ft%, cant go right, cant play D. But damn he’s a gamer. Finished SL with 21, 8 rebs, and 10 assist.
