Speculation sure, but me thinks they realize they might be out of the Melo/Love race. With so many rumors it will be interesting to see what finally happens because they have to do something at this point. However, would Orlando want more picks when they already have the two high picks of their own? Are they trying to trade up? If so, I think Afflalo would be better trade chip than a mid-first. Especailly if you are trading with Cleveland who is looking to win now.

I’m overthinking things probably but all these rumors are just insane! I took off the entire day off of work. All day Draft party!

I actually took a work from home day that day so I don’t miss anything!  I don’t mind this as a plan C for the Bulls, but only if it looks like Melo/Love will not be happening.  He’d be a great shooter (42.7% from three last year) next to the driving Rose.  One issue I have is that he can opt out of his deal after this upcoming year.  So that would need to be addressed or at least taken into account when deciding how much to give up.

For the fact that he can opt out the asking price should be lowered but who knows. Afflalo and the Bulls just seem to be a match made in heaven. Really hope it happens.

I would love Afflalo signing with the Bulls. Afflalo is most definitely an above average player, and his defense is much better than Melo or Love (which really isn’t that hard). Also, his contract is a lot cheaper than those other 2 guys. This would also allow Chitown to sign another smaller free agent. I like this A LOT.
