As we all know KD will likely be out for a qaurter of the season. Alot of posters are expecting PJ3 and Jeremy Lamb to take the majority of his minutes. One player that rarely gets mentioned is Andre Roberson who was drafted low due to his obvious offensive limitations. I expect Roberson to have just as much of an impact as Lamb, and Jones.

Roberson was projected at one point as a potential lottery prospect. He is a versatile player that can play SG, SF, and PF in the right situations. Roberson is a great passer for his size, and will effect the game on the defensive end of the court. He will also knock down the occasional three.

With KD out Roberson should get enough playing time to find his way into the rotation logterm. He could be a fantasy sleeper stat stuffer as well similar to a guy like James Johnson.

I think you’re right and I think that it’s going to be Roberson in the starting lineup. They lost Thabo, and Brooks has always like a defensive guy in his starting lineup. Jackson will probably bump up and play the other guard spot next to Russ, and Roberson will probably start at the 3.

He’s started 6 out 7 pre-season games, and although he’s never going to be a high volume long range shooter, he has worked on his formerly abismal long range shot to the point where he can at least be half way respectable. He’s very noticably better than he was last year, and I’m sure he won’t be a big time 30 mpg player, but I do think he starts and plays about 20 mpg for Brooks. Could probably get about 5 ppg 5 rpg 1 block and 1 steal per game.

I’d bet PJ3 comes off the bench for some offense with Lamb in the 2nd unit to the tune of 18-20 mpg.

Having Westbrook is such a huge luxury for OKC. You’re best player gets hurt, and you have a guy who can get you 25+ per night in his absense. I wouldn’t expect OKC to be in too bad of shape when KD comes back, Russell may not be a king of efficiency or a true point guard, but he can certainly win games.

I expect the starting lineup to be.

    PG-Westbrook

    Sg-Morrow

    SF-Roberson

    PF-Ibaka

    C-Adams

    1st Off Bench- Jackson

Then of course Lamb, PJ, Collison, and Perk should be a big part of rotations.
