chris_wuzhereParticipantWith new ownership and new coaching/management on its way, how do you see the Kings turning it around?
I’d think they would follow Atlantas lead and evaluate their best player and decide if they need him. In their case that would be DMC. So what do you with DMC? If you trade him what do you look for in return? If you keep him how do you build around him? They also have to make a decision on Tyreke, Jimmer, Marcus Thorton and Isiah Thomas because they don’t really need all of them. Needless to say there’s a lot of work to be done here. But I think a new coach and GM will give the team a direction. If I’m the new owners I’d try to lure Phil Jackson as my GM by signing Brian Shaw as the coach considering the fact that Shaw has been Phil’s protege for years. Also reports say Phil wants to pick his own coach like Pat Riley did in Miami. Sacramento is also not far from LA where his fiancé lives and works, and ive read that its important to Phil to be close to her.
Thoughts?

jaysmith1987ParticipantThis team is terrible and it starts with the coach they had a coach last year and the year before who was coaching as if he was a win now mode bemching rookies for ineffective veterans. No one knows what these guys have because they aren’t letting there rookies play and improve. Thomas Robinson should have been given the starting job and developed. Jimmer should have been given the 7th man and 15 to 20 mins. The only pic that makes since to me is trey Burke and if he is not available then they need to go with another pass first point guard. In the second round or most likely free agency they need to come up with a starting caliber Sf. Overall there biggest problem is pg. Once they fix that they can start improving the team.

Memphis MadnessParticipantif they keep DMC I think they HAVE to to get Trey Burke. Do that then try to do a sign and trade with Tyreke Evans.

jjbutler73ParticipantThey need to put him there and leave him there. And that would work even better if they had Phil Jackson, Brian Shaw, or maybe Ron Harper involved. Phil always had big guards and used them properly, including Shaw and Harper.

BenchWarmerParticipantThey need to draft Oladipo. He would be the Tony Allen to Cousins Zach Randolph. Before Randolph played with Allen he was an incrediblely talented but very troubled individule. Allen set an example for that team. He came in and worked his a** off, has been absolutley selfless and so proffesional and this has really rubbed of on Randolph. Randolph became more focused and really came into his own because he was put in a team that expected every player to play for one another. Oladipo would be a start, then get rid of Thorton and bring in guys that work hard. That really all you can ask for, if Cousins buys into this attitude then you have yourself a team.

Memphis MadnessParticipantBenchWarmer,
I think Cousins, Isaiah Thomas, Oladipo, Patterson, and Jimmer would be a solid core too.
