Here’s one everyone can participate in. Simply give a score out of 120.

Using draftnets rating scale (in the player bios), you get the opportunity to rate some prospects.

The scale is from 0 to 120 (maximum). There is 12 categories for each player, each one a score out of 10. For example, Ben Simmons is 100 out of 120.

He gets 10/10 for potential, and 7/10 for post-skills.

    Other names?

I did something like this a few years ago but made mine for some NBA legends.

Looking back at it, I think I probably overrated John Stockton a little bit as a prospect coming out of Gonzaga. If I were to do it over again, I’d probably have him around 93. It’s important to keep in mind with my ratings that many of these guys were 3 and 4 year college guys and had much more developed skill sets compared to more current guys. I wish I could remember the ratings I gave them for each category but having the overall rating is still good too. Here were the other guys I did: (original rating is in parentheses, new rating listed below)

Magic Johnson-(107)-Michigan State Soph., Age at Draft: 19

Michael Jordan-(104)-UNC Jr., Age at Draft: 21

    Athleticism: 10, Size: 9, Defense: 8, Strength: 8, Quickness: 9, Leadership: 8, Jump Shot: 8, NBA Ready: 9, Ball Handling: 8, Potential: 10, Passing: 7, Intangibles: 9, Overall: 103

Larry Bird-(103)-Indiana State Sr., Age at Draft: 21 (picked in 1978, debuted in 1979)
