He hasn’t lived up to the expectations he set after a stellar freshman season. No word is on what the suspension was for but this is never a good thing.

He had so many DNP’s last year. He was in Coach K’s doghouse for a lot of the season last year. The question with Sulaimon was never his talent. He was a highly rated recruit coming out of Texas. He’s quick, athletic, and a good shooter. This really hurts Duke moving forward. I assume Grayson Allen will get more minutes, but he has not looked anywhere close to be a contributor this year. You could tell there was something off with Sulaimon this year. He had horrible body language at times and a propensity to complain to the referees about a lot of calls. It’s a shame for Sulaimon because I thought he would have a chance to be an NBA player, but it seems like he has a lot of maturity issues.

Never should have gone to Duke…He’s the type of guy that needs to be let out of a cage so he can wreak havoc.

And the Sean Dockery saga lives on through Suliamon.

      To be continued…

It doesn’t really matter what he did in Highschool.  You can watch Duke games and tell he has no business out there with them.  I actually think Coach K was doing him a favor by giving him minutes, maybe trying to help him get drafted or something.  But his play certainly ruined that.  He shoots too much for someone who isn’t a good shooter.  He routinely breaks plays and when he is on the court he plays extremely selfishly.  He does bonehead things.  Its good he is still in good academic standing and is probably in a position to get his degree, but I don’t think the NBA is in his future.

Its a stretch but I wish he would go to Illinois. He would be an upgrade over any wing that they have.

Just seems weird. I know he didn’t always have the best body language on the court and was benched at times in his career, but he seemed to be buying into his role this year and was having a decent season, albeit maybe short of expectations. Of  ourse I don’t know all the details, but it doesn’t seem like he had any academic or off the court problems. Seems like this is a bit excessive and could of been handled better.

Although I’m sure he will transfer somewhere else and finish his career, his reputation will undoubtedly take a huge hit. Just seems kind of unfair for someone who seems like a good kid who was just frustrated at not being able to live up to the lofty expectations that were created for him. Again, idk all the details, so I don’t want to sound like I’m being too harsh on coach k.

I bet Hoilberg and IOWA STATE too.. he takes everybody. As a heels fan I think Sulimon has game, but when you go to a program like DUKE you have to understand your position is being recruited every year and if you dont put your best foot forward, your replacement in the lineup is the same person you toured around the campus on their offical visit.I think he felt like he didnt get his chance to shine.

Rather see Grayson Allen than Rasheed when Duke plays UNC..See ya later Sheed!

He could have been Ben McLemore but went to Duke and now he is Seth Curry, said it before and still true. IDK what he did to be suspended but he should have predicted that Duke would be a terrible place for his game. I hope so much that preps realize all going to over crowded schools won’t help there game. Where would Poythress be if he went to, say K State?

He needed a school that would have let him play combo guard so he could learn to run a team and force him to adopt pg skills. He would never be a 1 at the next level but learning that skill set would have aided him greatly. Guys always want to go to the bigest name school instead of the one that will let them grow there game the most.
