valentinewhat the hell happened to this guys, he played pretty well when he was in seattle alongside ray allen, and when signed with the lucrative deal by the orlando magic in his first 2years, after that he declined rapidly, with a contract larger than LBJ, and last year was traded to Washington, a young team that is in need of a veteran force, but he didnt shown, it was his time to shine in washington?, he got john wall to feed him the ball, and shoot, but lately he is shooting poorly
what do all of you think is the problem with reshard lewis, it cant be that he is getting old?, he is just in 33 and he has a nice stroke at the three,
is his contract messing up his mind?, and becuase of that doubts himself?

WizardofOzParticipantHe’s done. He has absolutely no arc on his shot, which is why I think he’s declined so much as a shhooter. He has arc back in his Supersonics days. I don’t know what happened. Maybe because of his bum knee?

FilipinoEllagreat to be him, earning 21 mil guaranted and playing just Ok, maybe its becuase of his bum knee, but cant he find a way to atleast be better?, even if he retires his huge contract and play will never be forgotten,
imagine barkly on nbatv talking about Lewis Huge Contract,

surveParticipantits gotta be because he is getting old. he doesnt have the athleticism he once had and is not capable of putting the ball on the floor like he used to. some of his decline is stylistically though I believe because his play didnt rapidly decline until after Turkoglu went to Toronto. Lewis plays better with better players around him, and obviously plays worse with bad players.

For_Never_EverParticipantI’m not sure how old he is. But he has to be somewhere between 35 too 36. He was never a great player just good, with the added age below good.

db24kb24ParticipantIf your not a driven winner and your contract is guaranteed what’s your motivation to improve? I don’t think Lewis gives a f**k, but I don’t blame him. He’s an avg NBA player getting a superstars salary, isn’t this what kids dream of? Sure the driven ones and greats dream of championships, but that clearly isn’t Rashard…It’s hard to want to get better when u have all that money

amb1986ParticipantHe use to be a good player, you could count on his shot, now it’s iffy. I know the team he on isn’t getting him open for his shots, that could be a big reason to why he gradually declined year by year. He is on a team that is 0-6, but he wouldn’t be a threat if he was on a 6-o team.. Time for him to hang up his sneakers and apply to be an analyst for the WNBA! Lol.

PulseGlazerParticipantHe’s a solid player, but don’t forget, like Kobe, since he came straight out of high school, he has more minutes on his legs than most players and age has hit him sooner.

Da1potParticipantHis shot has been way off for this season and for most of last season as well. He used to be a pretty decent athlete too, but now that doesn’t seem to be the case.In the game that the Magic crushed the Wizards this season, he was completely outclassed by Ryan Anderson and Hedo Turkoglu on both ends of the floor. Lewis needs to start playing well for the sake of the Wizards trading him mid-way through this season.
