Rashad Vaughn

Why isn't this guy getting more attention? He has prototypical shooting guard size, good athleticism, and can score the ball. He is also very young for his grade at only 18 years old. He had a very good year for UNLV as well. I do not understand why he isn't considered a top 20 prospect. In my opinion, he's a better prospect than Delon Wright, Norman Powell, RJ Hunter, and Terry Rozier, who are all ranked in front of him.

Thats my guy right there, personal favorite prospect who i consider lottery talented. Ive been talking about him since HS. People sleeping on him all year, even when he was healthy.

He's part of the reason I

He's part of the reason I think Russell is going to drop. Why take Russell when you could take a Porzingis, Turner, or WCS, and just draft Vaughn atop the second round.

Guard depth is almost always higher in the second round than big man depth.

Good call bro, Vaughn's stock

Good call bro, Vaughn's stock shot up from early 2nd round, and he's playing like one of the best rookies in the preseason, despite being one of the youngest rookies.

LA could use a shooter like that next to Clarkson.

Pretty good 'prospect' but

Pretty good 'prospect' but there's not too much promise right now. Average length and was a below average defender in college. Poor shot selection and is a bit of a ball hog right now. He'll most likely light up the D-League but I don't see him getting drafted any higher than 25

.

Your typical 6th men, instant offense.

Should have stayed one more year, but somebody could be happy to steal an 18 YO scoring guard in the 25-35 range.

To the lakers 27, 34, long term project behind kobe and the dummy.

He wouldn't have gained much

He wouldn't have gained much by staying another year. Also, he has an injury history, so he played it safe.

His draft situation reminds

His draft situation reminds me of Archie Goodwin a few years ago. Young kid who can score but at times makes some terrible decisions with the ball.

Should of stayed

Should of stayed one more year, would of been a top 15 pick next year, espically with the class coming in. UNLV could of been a top 15 team and he would of had more exposure.

As a UNLV fan, I selfishly

As a UNLV fan, I selfishly wish he came back. Not only would he have put up big numbers, but he also would have had single coverage because of the outside shooting options on next year's team.

I like him too but he's a huge gamble considering that he played well at UNLV but didn't truly stand out. In general, taking a player who didn't dominate at lower levels is a bad idea. Obviously, there have been many exceptions with teams drafting the Drummonds and Jrues of the league, but most teams won't take that risk.

If he falls to the 2nd round

If he falls to the 2nd round (which is the most likely scenario), then it's not a gamble. Nobody expect much from 2nd rounders.
