Now the tourney has finished im scratching my head as to where all the SG will go and in what order ?

Tyler Dorsey, Donovan Mitchell, Kennard, Josh Hart, Grayson Allen, Allonzo Trier, Sin Thornwell, Williams-Goss, T Ferguson and Dwayne Bacon.

Who do you think will have long career’s in the NBA and who do you think will end up D-League or overseas ?

i’ve always been high on Alonzo Trier…I like the way his body has developed.  Solid role player in NBA.

I don’t think Grayson Allen is good enough, reminds me of Jimmer.  But I like him more than I like Kennard.  Yeah, Kennard can shoot but he’s a classic good in college player.  No way he will hang in the NBA.  If McBuckets is just a role player at best, the unathletic Kennard won’t amount to anything.

Also underwhelmed by Bacon.  I want to like Dwayne Bacon, but he is too stocky and muscular and not athletic enough, there is nothing that stands out about him, and at average he is underwhelming, D league kind of guy to me.

Ferguson is very intriguing, love the athleticism.  But again, very thin framed.  His skills and athleticism will make him an NBA guard…if Corey Brewer can be in the league, so can Ferguson.

Josh Hart is a solid NBA body.  I think he will be fine in a backup role.

Haven’t seen enough of the rest.

Of the ones I have seen, I gotta go Ferguson, Trier, Hart, Allen, Bacon, and lastly Kennard on my big board.

I seriously do not know how you come up with all your comparisons man. First you say Thornwell doesn’t play D so you compare him to MARCUS THORNTON of all people. Now he’s a 3 and D player in your eyes?

And Josh Hart to Anthony Parker? Man that is one of the most off comparsons I’ve seen.

This is a very tough list to make. To be honest I think people are foing to end up extremely surprised with hkw this years SG class plays out. I have two tiers here and in tier 1 it could go anyway really. The players are so different.

    Tier 1
    Donavan Mitchell
-Despite struggling to shoot the ball well in the tournament he showed how much of a team player he is. His abillity to move the ball and find teammates in thier sweet spots, while being an active defender and rebounder must really attract NBA teams. Nowadays the draft is very important to add cheap longterm role players and Mitchell projects as a guy that can help your team alot of ways while being unselfish. Kind in the mold of other small gaurds like Marcus Smart, Gary Harris, Norman Powell, or Avery Bradley. Combo gaurds that can gaurd the SG or PG.

    Terrence Ferguson
-You cant find SG’s with his combination of height, athletisism and shooting. Despite an unproductive year with the Adelaide 36’ers in Australia his potential is through the roof although we saw in last years draft potential is no longer quite as valued by teams. Could go late lotto could go mid 2nd with the way drafts have been trending.

    Dwayne Bacon
-Nobody is really sure where Bacon will land but Ive heard people say he is a for sure lotto pick and others say they wouldnt use a late 1st on him. I feel like he will go very high in the draft and he should be picked as high as late lottery and I dont see him slilping out of the 1st round. Has dream worthy size and athletisism, tons of skill and has improved the substance part of his game but is still viewed as one dimensional and question marks revolve around if he can be impactful as a role player.

    Alonzo Trier
-I personally love Trier and think he is vastly underrated. He has proved to be a high level scorer on every platform but has also always been effecient. He makes big shots in important moments and his defense is a bit underrated. Alot of people see him as a weird body type for a gaurd but I feel like his stocky type of build makes him very balanced and strong.

    Tier 2
    Luke Kennard
    Sindarious Thornwell
    Grayson Allen
    Josh Hart
    Tyler Dorsey

This is really, really tough. Anyone of these players could go 15 to 60 in the draft.

I personally think ranking SG’s is the toughest position. If you think back to previous drafts there has been quite a few high pick SG’s taken who haven’t worked out too well – Hezonja, Oubre, Vaughn, James Young, RJ Hunter, B-Mac, Shabazz, Waiters, Ross, Rivers – None of these guys are decent, regular, NBA starters.

1 – Allonzo Trier – Good handles and good shooter with IQ. I think he can make it in the NBA.

2 Josh Hart – Malcolm Brogdonish. I don’t think he will be as good as Malcolm, but I think he makes it in the NBA.

3 – Dorsey – Boom or bust. Could be an NBA starter or could end up in Europe. I think he has a chance to be decent, Ill put him at 3.

4 – Luke Kennard – not great defensively, not overly quick or athletic. Good shooter, I think he ends up on an NBA bench as a role player

5 – Thornwell – looked good, good defender, can shoot, good size, can play SG/SF. I think he can least plays 2-3 years in the league.

6 – Donovan Mitchell – a lot of ppl currently have him going around 20 in their mocks. Too small, can’t finish. Not a great shooter. I don’t think he will be successful at the next level.

7T – Grayson Allen – didn’t have a good year. Played out of position. He is gritty. Would be worth the risk taking him late in the second round. Could very well end up Europe.

    7T – Williams Goss

9 – Dwayne Bacon – I’ve said it numerous times over the past 18mths, I am not high on Bacon. A lot of sheep have had him going mid first round for most of this season and last, I just can’t see it. I think due to his athleticism he will get a chance to play in the NBA but will do well in the D-League and get a few call ups to the NBA. I think he will be a journeyman and will bounce around on a few NBA teams and D-League.

I have absolutely no clue about Ferguson. He did nothing in Australia to warrant him being a first round draft pick.
