AdamJCallejaParticipantAs effective as Valentine is running the point at the college level, he has no chance of being a full time lead guard in the NBA

BallerScriptParticipantI completely agree. It will be cool to see whether he develops into more of a ball handler or wing player when he turns pro.

he_gets_bucketsParticipantI don’t see Tyler Ulis as a draft prospect at all at this point- he’s a 4 year guy for sure simply because his stature will significantly limit his ability to play in any capacity at the next level. Fantastic college player, but not on the cards for this years draft as a prospect.

BallerScriptParticipantIt is too bad that he is only 5’9. If he were 6’0 or taller he would be a definite first rounder in my mind because of his playmaking and leadership.

CDPHParticipantI wouldn’t be surprised to see Ulis declare given that they have Fox and Monk coming in and Hawkins/Matthews/Mulder should still be there too.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantA lot of these guys aren’t really pgs. You should have just said rank these guard prospects.

TeslaBallerParticipant1. Dunn
2. Murray
3. Jackson
4. Briscoe
After the top 4 picking are slim. Baldwin is an intriguing prospects and if I had to pick who remaining would have the best NBA career. I would say Baldwin but he still needs a lot of work and I wouldn’t be surprised he never developed into a starting caliber PG in the NBA.
So that’s my top 4, I see 2 day 1 starters (Dunn and Murray) and 2 eventual starters (Jackson and Briscoe) in the league. Plus my 1 sleeper in Baldwin.
Valentine and Wallace will be role players and then there’s everyone else. No disrespect to the other guys. A couple will fizzle out of the league quickly, others will have long careers as backups. Everyone can’t be an all star but there are plenty of roster spots and millions of dollars to be made.

Arc12345ParticipantIf you don’t have Felder in your top 10, you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about.
I’m sorry, but that’s just ridiculous. Watch that dude play. He’s a baller, got some clutchness, and runs a team.

TeslaBallerParticipantI’ll have to take your word on Felder for now, I just haven’t seen him play enough. You said he’s top 10 but is he a potential starter in the league? I only listed 5 because those are the 5 I see that could be starters. You can always find a decent backup PG.

GBeeParticipantWade Baldwin has a 6’10 wingspan, huge hands, quick laterally, is a beast defensively, is fast in the open court, has a high bball IQ, very good PnR potential and a pretty jumper (shooting 50% on 3’s).
He’s a way better long term prospect than a few guys ranked ahead of him. And yes, he is a PG prospect unlike a lot of the names on this weird list.

Memphis MadnessParticipantBen Simmons.
I haven’t watched all these guys play. Ok, I haven’t watched MOST of these guys play.
But, if I need a PLAYMAKER then for me it is Ben Simmons or BUST.
After him? Get a point guard in free agency or wait until next year.
Go get a wing or a big in this draft.
Runner up: Denzel Valentine. If he is the best all-around player still on the board then you TAKE HIM. At the very least you can use him as a point forward off the bench. I think the point forward off the bench role is going to be a new thing. Why waste space on a backup 6’1 score-first point guard who can’t score? Cuz if he COULD score he would be starting (or at least 6’3 1/2).
T.J. McConnell and Mathew Dellavadova are passable point guard options, and neither was drafted.
Besides, how many teams have NO point guards? Most teams have AT LEAST one decent point guard, and many have TWO.
Cuz, hey, if you wanna build your team around a mediocre point guard, just sign Mike Conley this offseason!

Hype MachineDelly sighting by someone other than me!
Little known facts. He currently ranks 3rd in both 3pt% and ft%
One of the purest shooters in the league.
Also ranks 3rd in asst/turnovers. And no-one likes turnovers.
