The GoatParticipantThere’s a few players and teams out there capable of moves this offseason that have not generated much noise out there to date.
Here’s a few players that could potentially move and teams that may be involved in a trade. Feel free to add a scenario to get the juices flowing.
1. OKC
Presti is a deal maker. I can’t believe all is quiet to date and I believe it less that this will continue. They aren’t going to settle after getting bounced with that type of payroll.
Trade idea: Adams and Roberson for DeRozan
Adams is fantastic and well loved, but near $25mil a year is too much for him as a 3rd banana with the way they play. Noel can defend at an elite level and so can Grant.
DeRozan was going to be on my list anyway. The Spurs rarely trade, but they have a backcourt logjam and really need a big. Roberson is the defender Pop likes to play, Chip can help with his shot and Adams will be exactly what they need up front. They were thin last year. They would miss the scoring, but Dejounte Murray and Derrick White will be big time next season.
2. MKG
Absolutely no news out there on this guy. For good reason? He can’t shoot, but he’s still young and an elite defender. There will be a taker.. ideas?
3. Houston
Daryl Morey has ants in his pants. I have them looking to deal Capela. To me, Atlanta can give them the best deal – 2 of their first rounders and Bazemore, who the Rockets seem to like for some reason.
The Rockets then can take Hayes with #10 and look for a 3 n D guy with #17. They’ll save a lot of money too as Capela was on for 5 more years. Perhaps they don’t get better, but they’ll be deeper and cheaper.
The Hawks would be smart to do this. Capela, Collins, Huerter and Young, then look at taking Reddish with #8.
4. Jeff Teague is still alive
Where is this guy going? He’s not an all star but he can still play. He was just in the north pole.
5. Indiana could lose their starting forwards
Bogdanovic and Young both out? I’m hearing Bogdanovic to the Spurs. Will Thad re-sign? There’s a good opportunity there for someone.
Aaron Holiday to New Orleans for Julius Randle? Jrue with his brother and Randle with Oldapio, Turner/Sabonis. Someone needs to go after Randle, he’s gonna be on the way out again even though he’s played hard for both the Lakers and Pelicans.

r377ParticipantKings are not too happy with willie cauley stein.
Rumour has it they are interested in nikola-vucevic or De Andre Jordan.

SeattleSuperChronicsParticipantIs Fred Vanfleet better that Lowry?

The GoatParticipantNo but he’s better value. It wouldn’t surprise me if they skin the roster, whether they win or lose. I don’t expect Lowry, Gasol or Ibaka to be around more than another 12 months. They’ll be out this summer or next. This is Lowry’s pinnacle – send him off now before the next 50 mil hits.

llperezim guessing randle opts out and thus wouldnt be involved in any trades. He settled for 9 mill per last year with hopes of trying the market again this summer. Had to suck for him seeing guys from his draft class all get paid more than him. Even dante exum made out like a bandit compared to julius.

MopgrassParticipantIt’d be interesting if Nets renounced D’Angelo Russell and he went to the Suns and then Julius Randle did too. That’d make a real nice young core.

festar35ParticipantThat would be a fun team to watch, but my goodness they couldn’t stop anyone from scoring on them. They would not win many games at all, but I’d watch them on league pass.
One of them would be alright, not both though. I think they would benefit from defensive minded teams.

The GoatParticipantAD narrowed his list to Knicks and Lakers? Clearly only out to make cash he’d lose by turning down the supermax. Send the loser to New York and let him wallow in the lottery again. KD won’t be helping on one leg.
