Chicago1980ParticipantI know the celtics have won a title and went to the NBA finals last year with Rondo at PG. But his shooting from the field and from the freethrow line is getting a little ridiculous. First off opposing guards wont even guard him from 15 ft and he is also scared to take that shot he has no confidence at all from the field and especially from the line. Yeah I know he is a great distributor and floor general and defender. But come on now your point guard should at least shoot 70% from the freethrow line he is shooting a dreadful 54% you cant count on that down the stretch and yeah he shoots 48% from the field but that is not jumpshots he can not consistently hit open jump shots. His last 4 games 4-29 from the field not acceptable if people want to consider him one of the best PG’s in the league. And I like him as a player but somebody has to work with his jump shot cause in a few short years Pierce, Allen and KG aint gone be there then how will he be rated among the top PG’s in the league. Just wondering.

TigerBloodParticipantHe just needs a little Tiger-blood in his veins to hit those jumpshots

delfamParticipanthe’s exactly what a PG is supposed to be, a good defender and distributor. We’ll see what he is when the big 3 leave, cause right now he’s doing what he shoud be doing, getting those guys shots.

llperezhes doing his jopb b ut the celtics chances would improve dramatically if he could shoot consistently. It gives the defense time to reset and help each other when he hesitates to take open shots.

akhan786ParticipantRondo is my favorite player and even though "he does his job" I think the celtics would’ve won a couple more games if for those every couple of plays that he’s open that he knocks it down. He is left open maybe 5-7 times a game and he bricks it. With him developing a shot, that could be ten more points added right there.
