As joe wolf said these stats shouldn’t be taken too seriously for a number of reasons

1.they only played two games(some only played 1 ie Rubio), against the same team both times

2.with such a shortened amount of time to sign players, have short minicamp, etc it was obvious that players were rusty and some struggled

3.Teams don’t really run the same plays they do in regular Players and is more focused on seeing how new players fit in their plans especially now since there was no summer leagUe

now that being said when the real season starts we will see a rise or decline in some of the rookies.

Sidenote- sorry if some of this post doesn’t make sense wording wise I’m typing it from my phone and the digital keyboard blocks what I’m typing and it’s a pita to try to go back and fix

This guy should be interesting to watch.  At the very least he will be good for at least one jaw dropping pass every game, kinda like Jason Williams in his rookie season.

Jon Leuer really impressed me in the two games vs minnesota.. I think he’ll find a niche on a team eventually who doesn’t care about defense and he’ll put up atleast 15+ ppg (optimistic i know.. but i am a badger fan in my free time).. Rubio and the wolves will be fun to watch especially if the other 4 guys on the court knock down shots.. kemba will take a lot of shots early in the season then get sent to the doghouse.. he just doesn’t have a consistent enough of a jumpshot… CAN’T WAIT TILL CHRISTMAS!! this’ll be a fun year

I think Leuer will stick around too.  He’s tall, athletic and can shoot ; however, I don’t agree with him ever averaging 15 points per game.  I still think he’ll find a spot providing offense and stretching the floor in a bench role.

Yeah same here but if Leuer can become a rebounder I see him having a Mehmet Okur potential but not that all star year Okur had

With Ilyasova seeming to want to return to Europe after this year, it would appear as though Leuer will get a crack at  the role of a stretch backup 4. If he can function there, it would be a good value for a mid-second round pick. The more he plays, the more his flaws will get exposed, but if Drew Gooden stays healthy it is unlikely that will happen.

Leuer is more athletic then people realize and is a legit 6’10 with some strength so under Scott Skiles I expect him to turn into a very solid defender who can guard other stretch 4’s and won’t get beat in pick and rolls because of his foot speed.

On offense I can see him developing into a Vlad Radmonivich type who can provide instant scoring off the bench and space the floor.  But I actually think he’s in a great situation in Milwaukee who don’t have a ton of depth down low.  Gooden has trouble staying healthy, Muc is more of a SF, and Larry Sanders still don’t look ready so it’s not a stretch to think that he can actually start for them by the end of the year considering they are one of the worse offensive teams in the league.

I just hope we don’t have to hear all year how big of a steal Iman Shumpert was in the draft because he is a baller who is going to make an instant impact for the Knicks.  But just because fans didn’t see the pick coming doesn’t mean it was a steal because he was being considering as high as the lottery with the Suns.  And with the 17th pick if they contribute right away that shouldn’t really be considered a steal.  And it still remains to be seen whether he was a better pick then maybe Kenneth Faried, Marshon Brooks, Norris Cole, Nolan Smith, or Chris Singleton.

And look for the Morris twins to get off to a hot start they both look as fantastic as advertised.  Marcus Morris is a true small forward who should be starting soon enough and he can really fill it up on offense.  And Markieff is exactly what the Suns need a tough, rugged PF who can rebound and block shots, but he’s still able to stretch the floor as a 3 point threat.

I don’t see how Kemba Walker will average under 15ppg on the Bobcats that only have one other offensive weapon.

He still has to share some minutes with DJ Augustin, that’s about the only thing that will keep him from doing so.

I watched Rubio’s only preseason game and im not really exagerating when i say 80% of the passes he makes are fancy and difficult, but he makes it look easy. He alsways finds the open man
