I made mention in a previous thread about how Lillard is going to go off this season with an awful Portland team.

Last season he averaged a stats line of 21pts/6ast/4.5rbs on .345 3p% and .434FG% taking 16.6

I actually didn’t expect Lillard to post such awful effieicy numbers. These are terrible efficiency number on a GOOD Portland team.

    So taking not consideration Portland lost a lot of players who took FG attempts in the off season, number;

    LA – 20

    Matthew 12.5

    Baum 8.5

And when Afflalo came in and fo the injured Matthews he got about 9.

Now what you would normally do is distribute these new shots or offensive play to new guys you got in to replace them but they brought in a lot of trash who shouldn’t be allowed to just jack off shots to make up the numbers *cough* Henderson* cough*.

So Lillard will be expected to pretty much carry this team on his back.

But if he posted pretty average numbers in a good team, I am really curious to see what type of numbers he will post on a BAD team and with an increased offensive burden.

    My prediction is

25pts/4rbs/5.5ats with shooting numbers of .400FG%(maybe even below this but I am going to back him in here in stay just above .300) and .310 3%

    What do you guys think?

     23.5ppg 4 rbs 6assists ,40- 41% , .330  3%

I don’t think he will be that innefficient to go under .400 FG% and he is good 3p shooter , even though he will probably take some bad shots this upcoming season .

But who knows, it’s a young team, hard to predict…

23/6.5/4.5 on similar percentages as last year. There should be a lot of pick’n’roll and pick’n’pop this year with how this roster is constructed. Stotts said he was going to try and use Aminu a bit like how he used Batum but I think that will fail badly. Damian might get more assists due to the fact that Nicolas Batum won’t be running any of the offense. Teams will try to keep the ball out of Lillards hands which could open up some assists.

I think with the departure of LA, Batum, and Wes Portland looks to speed up the pace get more buckets in transition an give Dame more chances to go one on one in the half court.  I think Dame will shoot a better 3pt % this year since more emphasis on the offense will be penetrating to the cup. I too think Dame will have a big year 26pts 6ast 6 reb.

I actually predict his assist numbers will increase more than his scoring. Portland’s offense this season will most likely be predicated almost exclusively on pick and roll with lillard as primary ball-handler, rather than a large percentage of Aldridge low post isos as in the past. He will undoubtedly get trapped a lot as he is the player opposing teams will most likely structure their defense to shut down, which will create opportunities for teammates to score. I predict as steph curryesque line of 23 ppg 5 rpg 8 apg. I doubt he will have the same shooting percentages as curry though.

I think Lillard could win the scoring title. He’s going to have the greenest light in the league.

    I predict 28ppg.

And I’m so confident that he will shoot above 40%…that if he doesn’t….I’ll dress up as Kalisi at ‘Magic Jordans Annual Star Trek Convention’.
