valentineIts a deep free agent class top-to-bottom and almost every team will have money to burn with the new tv deal kicking in. So…predict the type of deals some of these guys will get.
Dwight Howard
Demar DeRozan
Rajon Rondo
Matthew Dellavedova
Mike Conley
Festus Ezeli
Jeff Green
Roy Hibbert
OJ Mayo
Jeremy Lin
Theres plenty more, so feel free to add your own free agents to the mix.

Magic JordanParticipantHarrison Barnes, Ryan Anderson, Jordan Clarkson, Meyers Leonard are just a few that interest me.
It’s going to be insane, with all sorts of people getting seemingly big pay days. Rookie contracts will continue to be the most coveted assets.

jabbar_medvedenkoParticipantDeRozan and Conley are definitely getting maxed, in my opinion. 25 mil a year seems fair with a spiking cap for all-star caliber players in their primes. Plenty of suitors also.
Howard’s max as a 12 year veteran is ~29 mil. I doubt anybody pays that much for a 31 year old center who’s been in steady decline over the past five years while dealing with all sorts of issues, both physically and mentally. Maybe a 2 or 3 year contract with ~20 mil/yr will do it, they couldn’t even deal him at the trade deadline.
I think Rondo should eventually get another eight figure contract, but no longer than 2 or 3 years. 2 years, ~25 seems about right to me.
I think Festus could easily get 9 mil/yr, possibly even more, for 3 years or something. An elite backup big.
I think Jeff Green gets re-signed by the Clips at 8-10 mil/yr, for no longer than 2-3 years.
Dellavedova and Lin are both good backup options at the point, and a contract at about 7-8 mil./yr seems just fine for both.
As for Hibbert and Mayo, they are both players in decline who will look to have a bounce back year with a weaker team next year. Both are backups at this point and I could see them getting short term contracts that go anywhere from 4-6 million annually.
Barnes I think gets maxed out by a rebuilding team like the Blazers or Nets, at 21 mil/yr. A potential superstar on a right team. If the Warriors can’t get Durant, I think they match it.
I honestly see a team overpaying for Anderson as he’s one of the elite stretch fours in the league. ~15 million is probably the right price for a career role player but I think he could go as high as 20 or 22.
Clarkson can’t get more than the mid level exception in his first two years as he is a second rounder. There could be a team willing to give him a poison pill type of deal though, much like the Rockets did with Lin and Asik in 2012. He stays on the Lakers, though.
Leonard is also a restricted guy brimming with stretch big potential. 4 year, 30-40 mil is likely coming his way this summer. I think he also stays with the Blazers.
We’ll see come July, maybe some of these contracts end up being even bigger than anybody can think of. So much money on the table, has to be spent one way or another.

rongataParticipantI fanwsee derozen getting offered a max deal, he is a too shooting guard but he may be in a bad market in Toronto. I see Harrison Barnes walking, I don’t know if he can actually get better but I see another team giving him money. Hopefully not a max I dont see it, I see him as a younger Trevor ariza.

r377ParticipantOnly the Nets and Kings would be stupid enough to offer Harrison Barnes $20+ per season. Barnes turned down 64/4 = $16 mill per season to play for the championship team that drafted him. No way is he worth more than that.
The Warriors are smart enough to let him walk. They will have a list as long as your arm of vets that would be happy to replace barnes at half or even a quarter of what the dreamer thinks he is worth….

r377ParticipantI hope the Pistons go after a shooting guard. I would be throwing some offers out there
Evan Fournier $8-9mill x 3 yrs or $7 x 5 yrs.
Gerald Henderson $4-5 mill x 3 yrs…
Crabbe / J Lamb I would do $4 x 5yrs or $5 x 3 yrs.
Courtney Lee 5 mill x 3 yrsSVG would like a PF that can shoot
Teletovic or Ersan Ilysova $5mill x 3 yrsI would look at DJ Augustin or Norris Cole $4mill x 3 yrs
Quite often players get paid more than what they are actually worth. These offers are a bit conservative, they could probably fetch more….Fournier could prob fetch $10-12mill

dmo21ParticipantI’ve seen you mention his name several times and the fact that Detroit should sign him. But didn’t he sign a 3 year extension with Charlotte?

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantI think someone is going to offer Kent Bazemore $10 mil a year. 3 and D guys are in vogue right now, he’s young and is playing the best basketball of his career right now.
Also I think someone is going to throw a crazy high offer at Dwight Powell and Dallas, in a bid to hold on to one of their only young players, will end up matching.
