Whats up yall? Im back. Shoutout NBADRAFT.NET for nailing their mock draft, wow. Anyways, here we go…

    – This draft just showed me why its the same teams in the lottery every year, the rich get richer (Robert Williams to Boston, Lonnie Walker to Spurs, Jacon Evans to GSW)

    – LOVE LOVE LOVE Lonnie Walker to the Spurs, i loved him coming out of high school. Seemed like he kinda coasted at Miami, but the tools and potential are there. Pop will mold this kid if hes hungry. A backcourt of Murray + Walker could be real dope.

    – If the Wizards dont get Cousins, blow it up…please, god, fire, Ernie…

    – Im really high on Bagley as well, glad the Kings didnt over-think it, and im glad Bagley didnt complain about going there. (also he likes good hip-hop)

    – I really dont think LeBron should go out West, why face that gauntlet? Go to Philly, Boston, or stay!

    – I hated the fact that Philly traded Bridges. I dont know every detail of the trade but it seems like they got a prospect for an NBA-ready, 3 + D guy FROM PHILLY (whos mom works for the sixers too lol)

    – Nobodies beating Golden State for awhile, might as well rebuild if youre in basketball purgatory right now (wizards, raptors, grizzlies, hornets, spurs?, clippers).

    – I like Doncic but i also liked the Trae Young trade for the Hawks. Young could be a superstar in this modern day NBA

To be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of the Kings taking bagley second. While I have no doubt that he’ll be a very good nba player, probably a 20-10 guy for a long time, I think they may ultimately regret passing on doncic. Bagley to me strikes me as the type of player that will put up individual numbers, but that you can’t really build a winning team around. I don’t think he has the strength or the length to play center, which means that you will have to play him with another big most of the time. He will likely always be somewhat of a defensive liability imo. I believe bagley was a safe pick and there’s very little chance he’ll be a bust, but the Kings really needed a franchise player with this pick and I don’t believe bagley is that guy.

I agree. This was my concern for Bagley and why I would have passed on him in this draft. He may have the best statictical averages of the draft but I dont think it results in wins. The Kings are trying to say he has potential at both the SF and C position. I think he can eventually play some C especially when hes a man, playing SF is way out of his reach. Doncic is going to be an alltime great.

I def see what you are saying, and agree for the most part. I think he will get stronger, obviously he cant get longer. But what he can do is stretch the floor on most of these centers. And i think that will be valuable, especially the way the game is going.

Looking around at the other centers in the league, i feel pretty comfortable rolling Bagley out there against them, maybe not on the defensive end, but a lot of it depends on how much he wants to be great. And how much he wants to win and be a good teammate.

I think Bamba offered more value as a big man in today’s NBA.  Same with Jaren Jackson, Jr.

Maybe the Kings should have traded down, especially since lots of teams really wanted Luka Doncic.

Bagley lacks length, defense, and is a shaky shooter.  He’s flashy and can probably put up fantasy stats, but not sure he helps you win a lot.

Going back and looking at some retro highlights, I think Bagley has some Joe "Jelly Bean" Bryant in his game.  Jelly Bean actually had one of the best game dunks I have EVER seen — ironically it was in Magic’s first NBA game, where Magic had a great stat line, Kareem hits the game winner, and Lloyd (World B.) Free goes absolutely nuts.  But, Joe Bryant threw one DOWN right on Kareem’s head.  An all-time in-game dunk!

I’m intrigued by the idea of him at the 3…
