DROSE1BG7ParticipantDanny grangers response to LA/NO trade "Due to the sabotaging of the LA/NO trade by david stern, and following in the footsteps of my athlete brethern Metta World Peace and Chad Ochocinco, I’m changing my last name to "Stern’s Bi#&h" #effectiveimmediately"
from his twitter, looks like even the other players are upset with the trade block

TyroberParticipantThey should be. I know the NBA is a business, but there are still emotions involved. Sucks for players to be told they are traded and then five minutes later well its not happening now. We thought we would be a better team without you, but it looks like we have to keep you until we find something else to do with you. The trade should have never gotten this far if it was going to be allowed to go through

torontoraptors10ParticipantI think it’s kind of funny how these players think they have so much control over their destinations and destinations of other players. I mean if you’re a free agent it’s different, but for example, Amare Stoudemire last year joined the Knicks in hope of creating his own big 3. We all know he wanted Melo (who he got) and Chris Paul and NOW the Knicks were willing to trade Amare for the player he wanted all along, Chris Paul. This would leave the Knicks with a tandem if Paul, Melo and Tyson Chandler.
It just goes to show that, no matter how marketable of a player you are, who can attract other big name players, the owner’s have the last decision in all matters. And in this case, the owner of the Knicks was willing to trade the facilitator (Stoudemire) to get that player Amare always wanted.
