before the season, some people said this team would have a top 5 pick in this years draft because they would be terrible. what do you have to say for yourselves? im not saying this is a championship team(though i hope they do) but this team has great chemistry, nash has been managed well this year with his minutes, amare is playing motivated(i hope he doesnt leave this off season), and all in all i think this is a scary team for almost anyone to play in the playoffs and i can see them possibly getting to the western conference finals(note, they are my favorite team but depending on seeding they can avoid lakers until wc finals, but i may be wishing for too much). but this is for those that said phoenix would be a lottery team, cmon man.

No way they can get top 5 pick with Amare and Nash on the same team.

I think more needs to be said about how much Shaq brought this team down….He should get the anti-MVP award
Kind of bummed Pheonix didn’t tank though, I would have loved to see that pick go to OKC.

Shaq wasnt the issue, blame it on Steve Kerr. That team with Shaq could have been better had they stayed with Mike D or went to Gentry sooner. He thought he could turn the Suns into the Spurs overnight.

yes people said that. and i agree that no way they go top 5 with nash and amare, they have taken over the stockton malone combo(not as good). and leaving on this note, stoudemire just dunked on koufus from the jazz.

It was alot more terry porter than steve kerrs fault, when he brought gentry in they were destroying teams with Shaq/Amare together. they just played a diff style. Im not saying they are better off with shaq , but they would have made the playoffs last year if they had genty from the start

If you asked me before the season how Phoenix would do, I would have guessed they would finish somewhere around 7th or 8th in their conference. Wow, was I ever wrong. I think they’re the most surprising team in the NBA.

In light of how this team has come together and functioned at such a high level, I believe Alvin Gentry deserves the Coach of the Year award. Dallas head coach Rick Carlisle comes in a close 2nd, right behind Gentry.
