Charlie SheenParticipantI like what they have going
Danny Granger- at SF great player and defender and leader of this squad
Roy Hibbert- might be a great defensive Center if he continues his development
Brandon Rush- great shooter I think he’s a reserve at bestNow you add
Paul George- versatile 2/3 man no ceiling
Lance Stephenson- great 1/2 man Tyreke written all over him
Magnum Rolle- love him at PF very active and athleticPieces they need
1 more big for the rotation- Tyler Hansbrough might be it but they may need an upgrade but I’ll put him in the rotation for now
Back up PG- Randy Foye would fit perfect with this young core go get him
Rotation for the future
Bigs- Hibbert/Rolle/Hansbrough
Wings- Granger/George/Rush
Points- Stephenson/FoyeThats a great team going forward can make some noise in the playoffs in the future I think in a year or 2 they’ll be better than Atlanta plus they have some deals coming off the books in 2011 maybe make a move at Carmelo or Horford

sayounhParticipantI think it’s a little too early to be saying that Lance Stephenson will be the next Tyreke Evans. I think it’s too early to say that he’ll even be starting for the Pacers. I mean, this is Summer League play after all. Good performance in the Summer League doesnt really translate to good performance in the regular season.
I do agree though that Hibbert should have a good year this upcoming season and that within 3-4 years Pacers should be fighting for the top spot in the Central Division

OhCanada-ParticipantWho wouldve thought the Knicks would pass up on a guy like Stephenson with his criminal record and reported immaturity and draft 2 white guys then Larry Bird and the Pacers would draft Stephenson LOL.
Good job by Bird not just drafting the best looking white player, he is actaully a good GM when he decides to target the BPA.

paint intruderParticipantMaybe you should count in McRoberts, who can play pretty decent at times.
If he’s able to put it all together, he could very servicable and Pacers coach Jim O’Brien yesterday in their SL game said, that they will depend on him.
I love his athleticism and shooting but he’s got to get his mind right in order to shine.0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/07/2010 - 3:04am #348069
darcydParticipantPacers should go hard after hoford with all them contracts freeing up quite a bit of money they should really try and cement their starting line up for the future and build the bench through the draft
with a starting line up of lance who looks more than just startable quality even though its still maybe to early to call and paul with both their ceilings being very high then having danny one of the premier small forwards of the competition and still one of the most underated players in the comp, then al who willl be a multiple all star i believe and hibbert who i have always had a high opinion would make for a very good possibly exceptional starting five for many years to come. also rolle looks a servicable backup through his play in the summer league and rush will make a decent back up shooting guard. They will be very average still next season though
PG: Stephenson/2nd round pick
SG: George/ Rush
SF:Granger/George/Rush
PF:Horford/Rolle/Hansborough
C:Hibbert/(1st round pick most likely lottery)0 - Posted on: Wed, 07/07/2010 - 4:44am #348092
IndianaBasketballParticipantIt looks good heading forward for the Pacers. They’ve added some length, athleticism and talent with George, Stephenson and Rolle. It’s still early, but I feel comfortable saying getting Lance Stephenson in the second round was a steal.
They’ll give Indianapolis something we haven’t had in awhile. I haven’t seen athleticism like this since Jonathan Bender was a rookie. Hopefully, Bird and O’Brien make it a legit effort to get our young pieces on the floor to see what we have going forward.
There’s some light at the end of the tunnel, but there’s still work that needs to be done.

JNixonParticipantThis team will be be very, very scary in about 3 years. They have alot of pure talent on this roster, and if/when Paul George rounds out his potential this Indiana team will be a force in the East.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI see very good chemistry between Stephenson, George, McRoberts and Rolle.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantThe Pacers had a great draft..
George looks like a future allstar..and Stephenson looks like the steal of the draft..Rolle’s athletic skills will offset the stiffness of Hibbert & Murphy…
They have a few expiring contracts they can use in trades..
But they must rid themselves of either Hibbert or Murphy..
Those guys dont work well together..
T.J. Ford is a quality starting point guard.. but he doesnt seem to like playing there0 - AuthorPosts
