Pacers draft picks doing work

And I’m not talking Solomon Hill – who looks terrible.
I’m talking Myles Turner and Joseph Young. Turner had 23 and 8 with 4 blocks today in a losing effort to the Pistons. Joseph Young went in: snatching 25 points, 5 assists and 3 boards on 3-3 from deep.
I expect both guys to make an impact this season.

I love what I am seeing from the young guys, but to put it in context the team still got smoked for a 3rd consecutive game.
Stats aside, Young had a nice game at the point and got guys some really nice looks that they missed. Turner continues to be good going up against smaller opponents and I like his touch but he needs to get stronger to make an impact got out muscled a few times today.
Stanley Johnson looked really nice yet again as well.

Myles Turner gets out muscled here and there, but I still expect him to make an impact starting day one.
I really like Joe Young. He reminds me of Patty Mills.

Turner should start for the Pacers. Blocks and 3s, very useful. Just need a strong guy next to Turner, George, Ellis and Hill. Maybe that’s Mahinmi.
For a while I had Turner at 4 on the mock draft, so Indiana look like they got a steal in the draft although not all Summer League stars become real ones. But Turner can be the Pacers’ Bosh, they just need to find a few more pieces to help him and George.

  Porzingis is going to surprise you as much as Turner did. For a lot of the same reasons. They share very similar scouting reports, with the same list of supposed flaws.

Turner looks like a future all star. He’s so confident in his shot, and looks fantastic. I think he’s added enough weight that you can expect to see him keep improving in that aspect. What’s gotta be the most intriguing is his ability to shoot.
