Lotto StudParticipantDon’t you regret that Brandon Rush Jerryd Bayless deal now? Just think if you would’ve kept Bayless you would’ve got all the benefits of his talent, that’s rotting in Portland. All because of your front office high hopes on Rush. Now you as fans have to live with the big WHAT IF.

butidonthavemoneyI was always higher on Rush than Bayless. Probably not too smart of me.
The Pacers are my second favorite team, for the record.

JNixonParticipantBayless is talented, but lets not write Rush off just yet. Yeah Bayless can score the ball extremely well, but he’s not exactly a guy who can make guys better than they already are (which the Pacers needed more at the time). And the Pacers have Darren Collison, who looks like he will be a better true PG than Bayless will be. Rush still has the potential to be a shutdown defender who makes open spot-up shots and can score in transition. He probably just won’t be with the Pacers in the long-term though.

GalamothParticipantLet’s also not forget we got Jarret Jack and Josh McRoberts! /sarcasm
It was a deal I disliked then because Bayless had potential to be an all-star caliber player while Rush had a very solid niche role. Now at this moment in time, I think the deal has worked out for us as we have a point guard and a solid wing defender.
