Let’s keep it simple for the Magic’s draft selection (in descending order of importance) :

     1. Porzingis 2. Winslow  3. Hezonja

Any of them will make them a better team !!

I like Winslow, but I don’t think the Magic would be wise to draft him since they’d be adding a guy who doesn’t shoot the ball that well to a starting back court that doesn’t shoot very well in Oladipo and Elfrid Payton. If they think he’s an absolute stud and he’ll end up being amazing then I get why they take him otherwise they need a promising young shooter.

I see them taking Hezonja. They can run him at SF and he’s explosive and have crazy potential. Like someone said, they already have a below average shooting backcourt ,so their wing needs to be able to shoot. I doubt they draft porzingis. Aaron Gordan has potential at the PF slot

I really like the defensive potential of a payton-oladipo backcourt paired with Winslow and Gordon at the forward spots. That’s a lineup that could cause serious headaches for ball handlers, even with the slow footed vucevic at center. However, playing that lineup would create serious spacing issues, especially if Winslow or oladipo can’t develop into at least an average 3 point shooter.

I think Willie Trill would pair nicely with Vucevic.  Having a tenacious hounding backcourt of payton and Oladipo with a big like willie protecting the rim and helping on p&r’s looks good… I also see the Hezonja pick if he is as good a shooter and ballsy a player as he’s getting hyped to be as the magic do need a floor spacer at the 3 with their starting backcourt.

You also have to wonder if mudiay does slip to 5 (which is very possible imo) if the magic would just say screw it and take him, and then possibly look to trade Payton. As much as I like Payton’s potential, I like mudiays more and that would be a chance for them to possibly add a quality 3 and D guy or another useful piece.

Who would become the first to budge for Payton if this were to go down?

I see them taking whoever is left between Porzingis and Hezonja in that order.
