And what could they get for him? OKC needs some interior help, IMO. Obivously it’s tough to trade a guy who is close with the rest of the team, but I think 3/4 guys like Green are a lot easier to come by in the draft than a solid interior guy…

What team would be a best fit for him? I think he needs to play the 3 full-time.

I said this in the off season he has to go. He is a movable peice who could bring back more of what they need.

I think Sacremento would be a perfect fit for Green. He doesn’t need tons of shots (And he wouldnt get many with Reke and Cousins) and they NEED a 3. Casspi is not the answer. I think that’d have to be a 3 team though because I don’t think they have what it’d take to give OKC

Golden State might not be bad either… and Biedrins might be a decent piece for OKC. the contracts wouldn’t work but Mo Pete and Daequan are possible fillers

Sacramento could potentially have what OKC needs, Thompson isn’t the answer as a low post scorer but he’d be a better starter than Kristic IMO, especially with more responsibility, and they also have Landry who can score in the post.

Nene is a free agent this summer, he could be huge for them, especially because they have Ibaka to pick up the shot blocking slakc. Or they could work out an extension-and-trade for Nene as Green is going to be a free agent as well. I’m guessing Green’s extension would be a couple mil less than Nene’s next contract (maybe the same), so I think that would be pretty fair for both sides. Nuggets get a good young piece in the wake of Carmelo’s impending exit, Thunder get a very competent/experienced post scorer.

Sacramento would be the perfect team for him. But there aren’t too many options. I would think OKC would want a young player in return to keep their young nucleus intact and still keep the winning tradition alive. But the only young player I can think of is Jason Thompson but that wouldn’t even tempt OKC to think about it. The other option is Carl Landry but Sacramento just traded Kevin Martin for him and clearly lost on that deal, so wouldn’t OKC be doing the same thing? Their obviously not going to trade Dalembert when he is washed up and can only be used for teaching purposes. Sac-town needs that more than OKC does.

But what about the Clippers. They could use another player to help them against Big Brother Lakers as well as help them to get better too. Green playing sidekick to Gordon and Griffin would be good for him. He wouldn’t have to score too many points and he could focus more on defense which is one side that he needs to develop because he could be a very good player on that side of the ball. He could also help teach Aminu, a role which I think would be good for him. Coming from a young winning team he would the perfect role model for a young losing team. The Thunder really need a Center especially one that is a veteran but not too old that he is washed up. The Clippers may have their center of the future in Deandre Jordan thanks to Kaman’s injuries. So they need someone to take up his contract. Trade Kaman to OKC for Green. Although this trade would have to include a third team because the salaries do not match.

Most of this trade displays the reasoning that I mentioned in my last post, but adds on another team, the Pacers. They have been looking for a big man ever since they traded Troy Murphy to the Nets. Their only tradeabe asset is Mike Dunleavey which means you can’t expect much since his trade value is not very high but Collison would be a very valuable to this young team. He could help mentor some young PFs like McRoberts and Hansbrough. Also if the Pacers decide to draft another PF in this years draft (If McRoberts or Hansbrough aren’t good enough then Collison is a great backup. But I highly doubt they go that route) Also the Thunder need a backup to Durant. Dunleavy would not be a great backup but he would relieve some of the scoring pressure off of James Harden, who is a little inconsistent. So is Dunleavy but not as much and since he is a veteran he helps the Thunder more than hurt them. Jordan will need some help of course since he is still not quite as polished as Kaman was when he came to the Clippers. So that is why Krstic is involved who I believe the Thunder would also not mind giving up. They need to use Aldrich and Mullins more anyways.

(don’t pay attention to the bottom part about team wins after the trade. The only reason why the Thunder get a -7 is because they receive Chris Kaman who right now is injured, but once he comes back I believe his value will not be that much affected.

Nick Collison just got an extention from the Thunder, they won’t trade him this season.

dwill…. i think OKC might be interested in Kaman… he’ll be very solid for the 2 years of his deal… and then hopefully aldrich would be ready to take over. This trade sends Green to SAC. (I think SAC should send some picks to OKC and/or Clips) Dalembert to LAC (expiring deal… but still a serviceable big) and Kaman to OKC

@xbadglerhustler. I would love to see your idea for a potential trade but you posted the wrong link. Click "save trade" after you complete it and then copy and paste the link that ESPN gives you. (If you want to use the address bar then just click on the link that ESPN gives you and then copy and paste from there)
