Darius22ParticipantNola Recevies
Greg Monroe and Charlie Villanueva
Det receives
Eric Gordon
This trade helps both teams allowing Josh Smith to move to PF where he is a better fit and it gives New Orleans someone to pair with Davis downlow. Also I am confident that with Villanueva’s expiring contract and Monroe being from New Orleans that they will be able to resign him to a long term deal.

TheArtistPaysthePriceParticipantNola gets done with the paying any Gordons 13+ million a season after this year. Nola then plays Ben Gordon 34 minutes a game and goes for the top 5 tank mode. Anything after 5 and their pick goes to Philly. They have lost 5 in a row and nobody is catching the Bucks, but second to last gaurantees a top 5 pick automatically.
The Bobcats get Eric Gordon for 2 more years under contract. They have a tough time getting free agents and MJ has always been a fan of Eric Gordon (I remember him being in the stands at a Eric Gordon highschool game and commenting on how well he played, I believe his son was playing in the game against Gordon). The Bobcats have to finish in the bottom 10 (or they lose their pick to CHI) and by limiting Gordons minutes and Brooklyn,Cleveland and New York all want in the playoffs so they will probably finish 8,9 and 10 in the East. That should let Charlotte finish top 10.
Charlotte and Nola can be tank brothers.
I think that Detroit is more likely to trade Josh Smith than Greg Monroe or at least they should be. They are going to make the same amount of money next year, 15 million. Who would you rather have for 15 million, Monroe or Smith?

FutureNBAGMParticipantIf Detroit is gonna trade Monroe than it should be for a quality starting small forward and a backup center for Drummond. Not for an overpaid/overrated/undersized shooting gaurd. Personally, I still think we (Detroit) should look at Boston(Green), Philadelphia(Turner) or perhaps Milwaukee(AdetohowevertheFyouprounoucehisname) as possible trade destinations for Monroe.
